Masego @masego at JAMA! 😮‍💨🔥🔥… yeah, we had to keep this one on a need-to-know basis.

We had the honor of hosting the after-party when Masego came through Chicago, and what a night it was.

And if you’re wondering why you don’t see him in the recap - his team asked for no photos or videos of him that night, and we respected that 🤝🏾

Good people, good music, beautiful chaos. One for the books.

If you knew, you knew 🧡

MY CHICAGO SUMMER | EP. 11 🇬🇭🎶

Chicago’s Afrobeats scene really showed out for this one.

I made it to JAMA! Afro Rave for a special night featuring Juls, the London-born Ghanaian DJ, producer, and songwriter who has worked with some of the biggest names in music—including Burna Boy, Wizkid, Lauryn Hill, Stormzy, Tyler, the Creator, Mr Eazi, Wande Coal, and Don Toliver.

If you know Afrobeats, you definitely know some of the music Juls has had a hand in—including Mr Eazi’s Skin Tight and Burna Boy’s Gwarn.

And seeing him bring that sound to Chicago for JAMA! was such a moment. The crowd, the music, the energy… exactly what you want from an Afro Rave. 🇬🇭🔥

JAMA! is curated by Ghanaian sibling duo King Aba & Gatti, who have been creating these experiences in Chicago since 2024. If you’re looking for Afrobeats, Amapiano, house music and a good time in Chicago, keep an eye on JAMA!

Have you been to JAMA! yet? And what should I check out for the last bit of My Chicago Summer? 👇🏽
