July 2024

Good things:
-This month was full of almost too many good things to name!
-Trip to Boone & Johnson City to attend a wedding and see family
-Trip to Chicago for my grandma’s 80th birthday surprise party / family reunion
-So many sweet moments of connection, rest, and joy with friends and family

Challenging things:
-2024 continues to bring change, and change continues to challenge my mind! But honestly, July was one of the best months this year in terms of feeling hopeful and equipped to manage my OCD. The two vacations were much needed rest from the stress of work and juggling other life things, and my brain apparently appreciated it!
-Work has continued to be very busy, so I’m still learning how to recognize when I’m rushing & try to slow down. If anyone has advice on this one…please help me!

God things:
-God was on the MOVE this month. I’m not going to get into specifics here, but there have been so many beautiful conversations, answered prayers, and revelations of how he’s been working (both in my life & others). I’m so excited to see what he does next!
-If anyone is looking for books to either a) learn more about what living a Christian life could look like or b) go deeper in your own spiritual formation, I can’t recommend John Mark Comer enough. I finished The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry this month, and I’m about two-thirds through Practicing the Way. Both have changed my life through the beautiful picture they paint of living in step with Jesus, and I’m just so excited to keep walking with him.
