(2019) I think about this a lot … I was in my own world, on my own track , planning shit as I go (as long as it made sense) and could count on one hand how many people actually knew I was doing music , let alone being #JanuaryFirstMusic . I was already working multiple jobs , working around the schedules of everyone else’s but my own (my bosses, my doctors, my engineers, my family members and dependents I had to provide for at the time, etc) but I was finding ways to make it work … it however concerned a lot of people around me even those that didn’t know I was making music given my physique was drastically changing and my health wasn’t the best but I was also a workaholic at the time, being busy was almost a high for me … so many people but mostly execs convinced me to try to go for grants and I was very adamant and VOCAL about not wanting to, as after lots of careful planning it didn’t make much sense from where I STOOD coming from a business perspective… more money spending , possible restrictions, comprising art to a certain degree, actually taking time AWAY from my ACTUAL money-making jobs to show up to obligatory meetings and network sessions that were no more photo-ops to make organizers and staff look better than they actually do, no guarantee on return in investment like getting grant writter, throwing me off my own personal set deadlines but the most EVIL SHIT that finally pushed me to try grants out was the NEED FOR FUNDS , MONEY , TO SURVIVE CAPITALISM ‼️ but worse of all just being another number of a quota that had to be met. The people who even talked about trying it , I’m pretty sure just needed a certain number of participants in order FOR THEM to continue getting funded aka USED. And this is just one of the many in Toronto and Ontario, don’t even get me started on scams like @factorcanada .had I continued on my path without wasting time on useless meetings and applications to grants that always go back to same the same people REGARDLESS of which grant it is in Toronto cuz I been peeped through Ponzi scheme from jump which I only participated in because as I mentioned in great detail with VIM, that the music industry builds and thrives off… hop

We don’t need shortcuts.
We trust process over hype.
We choose discipline when others choose comfort.

Capricorns feel deeply,
but move logically.
We love hard,
but respect ourselves harder.

We fall, we pause, we rise.
Stronger. Smarter. Quieter.

Being a Capricorn isn’t about being cold.
It’s about being selective with energy
and serious about purpose.

Not everyone understands us.
That’s fine.
Not everyone is meant to.

We’re not built for moments.
We’re built for legacy. 🐐👑
💡 Capricorn Pro Tip:

Your silence confuses people.
Let it. Capricorns don’t explain strength,
they demonstrate it over time. 💀
