Utterly overwhelmed with gratitude… we could not thank you all enough for the support, words of encouragement, and generosity that you all have shown us and our film.

It’s been a long road to get to this point and it truly has felt like we have climbed to new heights with your help. For the longest time my (Brandon) doubts and fears crept up as I was battling constant rewrites and the unknown but your support has truly validated what this film can become and will grow into.

We are so very excited and proud to announce we have received a generous $500 pledge from @seedandspark patron’s circle. This pledge is part of a total of $40,000 amount that @markduplass has graciously offered to independent filmmakers like us who crowdfund on the platform.

Overall, all of the support has been so reassuring of what we are trying to do with Se lo Merecía. We’re building a pretty incredible team of filmmakers to make this thing happen. Thanks to you all we will be able to tell this story while honing in our craft and potentially inspiring and empowering others to do the same.

Thank you all so so much!! As I said before, this is just the beginning and we can’t wait to continue this journey with you all. For now, our team is resting before the long road of pre production and principal photography commences.

Sincerely,
Fran, Athená, and Brandon
