Every step is a challenge, every crevasse a reminder of its immense power. In the heart of that frozen wilderness, we realized how small we truly were, mere specks against one of the Himalayas’ most formidable glaciers. It humbled us in ways words cannot fully describe. We crossed it not by strength alone, but with faith in the mountains and the grace of the Himalayas.

I can confidently say that Auden’s Col is the finest expedition I have completed so far.

Not because it was the highest mountain. Not because it was the most technical.
But because it challenged me on every level and rewarded me with experiences I will remember for the rest of my life.

Standing in Kedarnath after crossing Auden’s Col, the Khatling Glacier, Masar Tal, and Mayali Pass, I felt overwhelmed with gratitude. The journey was over, but the memories were only beginning.

When I first signed up for Auden’s Col, I was not looking for comfort. I wanted to test my endurance and see how far I could push myself in the mountains.
Over the years, I had completed several treks and expeditions, but Auden’s Col always stood apart. It carried a reputation for being one of the most demanding
traverses in the Indian Himalaya.
Glaciers, moraine, unpredictable weather, long
summit days, and remote terrain all of it demanded respect.
By the end of the expedition, I had found what I was looking for.
I survived.
The mountains tested me in ways I had never experienced before. Every day presented a new challenge, but the hardest moment of the entire journey came after
crossing the Khatling side. The climb from Chowki to Masar Tal drained every bit of energy I had. The steep ascent seemed endless. Every step felt heavier than the last. More than once, I questioned how much farther I could continue.
Yet the mountains always reward perseverance.

From Auden’s Col Base Camp, the summit appeared deceptively close, but reaching it demanded immense effort. Every step tested our endurance, yet the breathtaking views from the summit made every struggle worthwhile. Standing at around 18,000 feet, the sense of achievement was unforgettable.
