ATHLETE PERSPECTIVE 🏀

Leah McKinney spent four years playing basketball with New Life Camp Storm, and her perspective on faith and sport is one every Christian athlete needs to hear.

Your sport will constantly ask you to prove who you are.

But the gospel reminds you that your identity was never something you had to earn.

Before you think about who you are as an athlete, remember who God is and who He has already made you to be in Christ.

You don’t have to create an identity through your performance. You get to play from an identity that has already been given to you.

That changes the way you handle pressure, mistakes, success, and even the seasons when basketball doesn’t go the way you hoped.

This is the kind of perspective I want athletes to hear more of. 🤍
