POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Had the opportunity to teach members of the Professional Photographers of Central Florida some lighting techniques I use when working with dancers.

Ballerinas don't use words to tell their stories. Their art form is how they communicate.

Wanted to show our members some interesting ways to capture her movement to best tell her story. Which meant they had to see the moves first to learn when would be best to take the picture.

It was a great experience and one I would gladly teach again.

Lexi is the ballerina in frame and she was an absolute joy to work with!

Thank you all for coming out!

It was so great getting to work with Miss @_lexdoesballet_ ! It was my first time meeting her.

She is so sweet and very talented at Ballet.

During our shoot, I wanted to show different styles of lighting to show the intensity of Ballet.

Thank you Lexi for a very fun session!

I hope to work with you again sometime.

Thank you @the_ppcf for hosting this fun event! :D

Which image is your favorite?

From a setup I made for the PPCF’s recent fundraiser, Lexi filled in for us at the very last minute and was an absolutely spectacular subject for everyone who attended. These are a couple of the shots I got of her, more to come!

Is copying another photographer actually a part of learning? I truly think it can be. Just have to do more than copy the photograph. You have to figure out why that photograph works.

There are so many questions you need to ask yourself when trying to recreate someone's image. What did the photographer see? Why are their lights placed where they are? Does this composition feel balanced? Do I understand the story or emotion the photographer is trying to convey?

Once you understand those decisions, take what you've learned and start changing things. Only then will this copying process become an education.

Find a great image. Ask, "What would I do differently?"

☁️🧸💤 ANNUAL 3D COMPANY SLEEPOVER 💤🧸☁️

PJs, blankets, snacks, laughs & ALL the memories! 🛌✨🤍 Our annual Company Sleepover was the sweetest night of bonding, team building, and having way too much fun together! 🌙

One of our favorite moments of the night was revealing our DANCE BUDDIES for the year! 🫶🏼👯‍♀️We can’t wait to watch these friendships grow and see our dancers cheer on, encourage & support their buddies all season long!

And trust us… we have SO much more to post from this night! 👀

🧻Our iconic Toilet Paper Runway Contest
💃🎶 Make Up Your Own Dance challenge — with each group given a specific genre!
😂 LOTS of laughs
And so much more!

These are the nights that make being part of a TEAM so special. Beyond the rehearsals, competitions & performances, it’s the friendships and memories made together that we love the most.

Stay tuned because the sleepover content is JUST getting started…
