Monday with the girls. 🌸
Oh, we had a TIME today. Sometimes it’s nice to forget about the miles, the goals, the hustle, and just laugh n vibe. I feel like we can get so caught up in always doing, achieving, and staying on the go…well, for me that is. Today was a sweet little reminder to slow down and just enjoy the girlhood of it all. 🤍

Come join us Mondays @6, @mommy_miles_ . 🫶🏼

Stoddard Canyon Falls used to be one of those hidden gems you heard about from someone who knew someone. Then social media found it. 📱💦 What was once a quiet little escape in the Mt. Baldy mountains has become one of Southern California's popular summer waterfall destinations. The crystal-clear pools, canyon walls, and natural rock slide make it easy to understand why people keep coming back. Sometimes the hardest part of finding a hidden gem isn't getting there… it's getting there before everyone else does. 😂🥾🌲 #californialiving #hikingadventures #friendships #stoddardcanyonfalls

Juneteenth helps us celebrate the beauty of the imago Dei in the African American experience. June 19th is a holiday celebrating the end of slavery in the United States. Also known as Freedom Day and Emancipation Day, Juneteenth was initially observed in 1865. This day reminds our nation that though the African American experience includes the brutal chains of slavery, Emancipation did come and break the chains to set people free.

Look, I am sending my messenger ahead of you, and he will prepare your way. He is a voice shouting in the wilderness, “Prepare the way for the Lord’s coming! Clear the road for him!”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1‬:‭2‬-‭3

God sent John the Baptist as a messenger to help people prepare their hearts to know and receive Jesus, the Messiah. John told them to repent: turn away from sin and return to God. Today’s scripture describes valleys and hills becoming flat and crooked roads becoming straight. Physical barriers were removed so all people would see the salvation of the Lord! God is amazing at how he works so we can see him!

What obstacles in your life might hinder your heart from following God? Is there anything in your life you need to turn from so you can move back to the Lord?
God’s love is bigger than any of your mistakes; he promises to forgive your sins. What a gift we have in Jesus, the son who was given to us, the child who rests governments on his shoulders and who we call Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)

Let’s prepare our hearts to receive our King.

As you ponder today’s post, I pray you listen to God’s spoken word. You can listen to these passages and more scripture at www.her.BIBLE - we have a story post to take you directly to these passages. We think you will love listening to her.BIBLE’s free audio Bible in relatable women’s voices.
