Section80 Bar presents

Luca Pagan and Federica Sasso
in dialogue with @chiaranonino
on Bodies, Technology, and Perception

The evening presents the work of the artist duo and their research project, DIVERGENCES, which explores how we experience our bodies and how they relate to digital and physical environments, using sound, video, VR, biosensors, and experimental visual tools.

The event brings together a talk, a demonstration, and audience participation. It begins with a guided introduction, followed by a performance showcasing the tools developed in the research.
The performance then becomes interactive, allowing the audience to try out and directly experience these tools.

Starts at 7 PM.

Theory&Practice: The Italian New Wave, a collaborative project and a statement of intent. The exhibition presents a selection of Italian artists working at the intersection of art and science, exploring new possible forms of interaction. The title also signals a methodological stance: the practice of the exhibiting artists is a form of theoretical research, in which artworks become instruments of inquiry and knowledge construction.

The project presents artists who not only integrate diverse media and tools into their practice̶ – artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, virtual reality, biosensors, memes, CGI – but also actively collaborate with research institutes and the academia to investigate some of the most complex themes of contemporaneity: the body, spirituality, family bonds, consciousness, and embodiment. The artists of Theory&Practice explore the boundaries of who we are as humans.
