Ist das Jazz? @radio80000

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Jazz, Folk, Soft Rock, Wave, World, Dub 𖧵

Lucy Sky hosting her monthly show „ist das jazz“ since almost 3 years and contributes everything close to jazz? it’s a really great show with divers genres, switching from jazz, folk, soft rock to wave, world an dub 𖧵

Aicohol does a lot of things, so long story short. Promoter (Behind the Green Door), DJ, musician, frontsinger at Hodo Gaia, label boss and a central figure at import export and munichs night life scene. Probably she’ll show us some kraut music, we don’t know yet but find out tomorrow ✹

Felix MDS does our graphics and is a DJ for almost 20 years. In his big shelf there is probably every genre existing. He does best on 1vs1 and delivers heavy baselines, house and world sounds. stink face alert ⚠

Heronymus is a lover of different genres and feels at home somewhere between proto, space disco and goa influenced sounds. he likes to play with felix because it’s always lot of fun

FRIDAY (23/10)
This Friday @sonic__vibrations comes back to celebrate another round down in our basement. This time head of SONIC VIBRATIONS @schr0mmi himself will delight us from behind the decks together with GoRei regular and longtime friend FELIX MDS (@morzdessoundsystem). With them special guests @aicohol and @_lucy.sky, also two very important pairs of shoulders carrying Munich's cultural scene and nightlife.

SATURDAY (24/10)
Another big one coming in this Saturday, with @mikeygeemikey as always having curated a bombastic lineup. There's little people in Munich you can trust as much as MIKEY GEE, as he's spent years participating in the scene – behind and infront of the decks, organizing events and trading his precious record collection that outgrows the size of a small village.
As it's annual tradition, that day @daszuendet aka @shacke_one pays us a visit as well as @smnwttnz from @morzdessoundsystem
Just a bunch of chill guys with record bags packed with gems!

Friday August 14th

Walid Ben Selim
(Morocco/France)
Spiritual Chamber Music
-The French-Moroccan singer and composer Walid Ben Selim is one of the defining voices of the contemporary Arab music scene. Together with harpist Marie-Marguerite Cano, he gives the texts of great Sufi poets and the prominent Palestinian writer Mahmoud Darwish a haunting musical form. The duo creates a hypnotic, enchanting atmosphere as song, poetry, and harp blend together under the open sky.

Adil Smaâli & Le Grand Bal Raï
(Maghreb/France)
Raï
-The group pays tribute to the great classics of Algerian Raï, spanning from the 70s to its golden era in the 90s, while simultaneously breathing new life into them. Led by Adil Smaali’s charismatic voice, the high-energy performances of Le Grand Bal Raï are musical experiences that irresistibly sweep the audience into a dancing frenzy.

Lucy Sky
(Munich)
-Digging up obscure dance music gems from the deepest corners of the rabbit hole.

Djay Darismus
(Munich/Iran)
-Blending Iranian and Azerbaijani sounds into a borderless mix of global and ethnic grooves.
