First off, I appreciate everybody who followed along and showed love throughout this challenge.

I’m not gon lie tho, this one took me through it 😂

Week 1, I felt heavy asf every time I ran. Week 2, my feet and calves were sore to the touch. Weeks 3 and 4, things started getting smoother, but my left foot had other plans. So I backed off the intensity a little and kept it pushin.

By weeks 5 and 6, I was starting to feel like a runner. A hulky one, but a runner nonetheless. 😂

That last week was really about seeing what I had in me mentally, especially on the days I wanted to push the pace.

But that’s what I enjoy about doing these challenges. It’s not always about what I can accomplish physically. A lot of it is just proving to myself that I can commit to something and keep showing up even when the excitement is gone.

And if you’ve never challenged yourself like this, I encourage you to try it sometime. Doesn’t have to be running. Could be reading, meditating, stretching, whatever. Give yourself 30, 50, or even 100 days and see how you feel when it’s done.

There’s something satisfying about reaching the finish line knowing how many times you could’ve talked yourself out of showing up.

Anyway, that’s 50 days down and another promise to myself kept. 🤝🏾 What should the next challenge be? 🤔

20 days better then I once was. 20 days I proved to myself my hardships , ups and downs are all in my head. 30 more days to go.

Gods timing. I just do the work.

5k a day for 50 days birthday edition. Day 11. 39 to go. Crazy to think I turned 39 today and have 39 days of running to go.

I use to see how many beers and lines of cocaine I could crush on my birthday. Crazy to think that the last couple of years on my birthday I’ve crushed a metcon, and this year I crushed a metcon and ran a 5k.

No matter what you’re going through, no matter what’s holding you back you have the ability to beat demons and erase excuses. Yeah it never comes easy and truthfully some days it fuckin hurts, but there’s nothing stronger then getting through it. It’ll pay off. So get off your ass and go for a walk or something. Do it for my birthday!!!
