2:49 Marathon!!! 🏁⚡️

Almost 40 minutes off my last marathon. This training block was fruitful. Going into the block back in January I was aiming for sub 3 hours. Fitness stacked better than I thought it would and was shooting for 2:45. A classic shoot for the moon and end up in the stars scenario. Any time ran today I knew was going to be good. What I wasn’t expecting is how not good I would feel for like 70% of this marathon. Running a marathon alone sucks. Just putting that out there. Found that out today lol. Also the course loop I chose was kind of bland, but it is what it is. Birds chirping were dope. It kind of blows my mind how fit I’ve gotten this block. Blows my mind 6:30-6:45 mile splits felt slow. Miles 15-20 were not my favorite, but the last 6.2 felt groovy. Time to eat food, read some books, hang with friends, and chill for a couple weeks. I’ll start an 800m training block in 2 weeks with the hopes of going D-II in spring. Talk more about this later. Peace and love yall ☮️❤️

Ironic this birthday fell on international running day. It’s been a lot of running this past year, but it’s also been a lot of standing still and facing some big personal fears of mine. For the first time in my life I can say I’ve found some peace. Thanks for all the birthday wishes, it genuinely means a lot. Remember to chop wood and carry water ☮️
