Te Adoro West Side Story.

I’m so grateful that I was apart of the first year of FMTI. This experience was unlike any other and I will miss it forever. Thank you to the entire creative team and every staff member that made it so amazing for all of us.

Two weeks. Countless laughs. New friendships. So much talent. ❤️

Spending the last two weeks with the Florida Musical Theatre Intensive has been such a gift. Getting to work alongside incredible faculty, watch these students bring West Side Story to life, and witness their passion every day reminded me exactly why I love teaching.

One thing I don’t think students always realize is that while teachers absolutely shape their students, students shape their teachers too. Watching you take risks, grow, create, and even just laugh together in the dorms left a mark on me that I’ll carry long after camp ends.

Thank you for letting me be a small part of your journey. Your futures are so bright, and I truly can’t wait to see where your talent, kindness, and hard work take you next.

Never in my life have I been able to experience such a blessing that this production was, from the masterclasses to the tedious rehearsals, to the rotating sandwiches. I can never properly express my gratitude towards Dr. Phillips Center and all that they have done for me and to every person who put their heart and souls into this show.
Being trusted with a role as intense as Bernardo would not have been possible without such an amazing director and interns, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you Tony, thank you Connor, and thank you Cooper, you helped shape me into such a powerful character.
This show will always be held close to my heart and I will carry everything I’ve learned through this intensive for the rest of my life. I will never forget all of the friends I’ve made and I will always remember the memories we shared while making this beautiful show.

Thank you FMTI, for giving me the best experience for my last summer as a high schooler.

Somehow Someday Somewhere

This cast has been an absolute blessing to be a part of. I am amazed at how much 60 students can accomplish within just 2 weeks. I have never experienced such a positive and collaborative environment, and for that I am eternally grateful. Thank you all for welcoming me with open arms and for all the memories. Te adoro West Side Story🦈❤️🇵🇷

West Side Story!!! I cannot believe how incredible this cast and crew was! Everyone is so kind. The set and costumes were the most incredible I’ve ever seen. And every single person was so incredibly talented. I’m going to miss this!! 💛💛💛

FMTI ‘26 WSS, this was such an amazing experience in so many ways. I can’t believe these 2 weeks are over and I couldn’t be more grateful for what they have given me. I’ve gained so many new experiences but most of all so many new friends. I have connected with so many amazing people who I will never forget. West Side Story was the first musical that made me fall in love with this art form and to have been able to perform it at the Dr. Phillips Center with this particular cast has felt so full circle and I will carry this experience with me for the rest of my life. Thank you to everyone involved because this wouldn’t be what it was without each and every one of you!🤍
