I woke up this Sunday morning and felt like sharing this. Maybe because it’s the first day in a while that I’ve had a little time to breathe, slow down and take in everything that’s been happening.

I’ve had this page for so many years, but for most of them, I never really took it seriously. Satisfied Culture was always my side hustle something I loved, something I kept coming back to, but never quite allowed myself to believe could become more.

Until sometime last year, when I started thinking… maybe the market is ready. And maybe I am too.

I think I first felt it during our little Archive Room pop-up in Saifi Village. I remember looking around and wishing I had a space of my own one da somewhere I could create freely, curate pieces I truly loved and build a little world that felt like me

But for a long time, it never felt like the right time.

Then I turned 27 thsi August

And somehow, at 27, I still didn’t feel like I had anything figured out. I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do or where I was going. I just remember telling my friends, almost out of nowhere, “I think I’m going to open a store.”

Around my birthday, @_madinati_ wrote me a letter. There’s a whole story behind some silver stools I had sold and desperately regretted selling 😂, but in that letter, she wished that I would finally find my own little cocoon.

For some reason, those words stayed with me. Maybe they were the little push I needed.

So I started looking. At stores, warehouses, random spaces anything that could become somewhere I could create freely and make feel like my own.

And then, very randomly, I crossed paths with my friend @laranasser___ , who was leaving her space the former home of @hostile.homeware . I asked if she knew of anything available around the street, and she simply said, “I’m literally emptying my space. I can send you my landlord’s number.”

And somehow… here we are.
