It brings us great sadness that this is @_maisonmacha's last Sunday at the farmers' market 🥐 Her French vegan pastries will truly be missed 💜 There are so many challenges to running small businesses, which is why it is more important than ever to support local. 💕 A message from Macha: "Four years ago, at almost 50 - as a mom of three, a wife, and a former attorney - I decided it was never too late to reinvent myself. That's how Maison Macha was born. What a journey it has been! From early mornings at farmers markets to late nights laminating croissants, this adventure was never about numbers — it was about connection, community, and love. This chapter now comes to a close. Like so many food businesses in LA these past two years, I face this reality too. But I choose to meet it with gratitude and inspiration, not sadness. Sometimes courage means beginning, and sometimes it means knowing when to let go . To my family, hard working team, mentors, farmers market managers, shared kitchen landlords and above all: my incredible customers: THANK YOU!❤️ Your support, loyalty and kindness carried me every step of the way. I hope you felt the love in every pastry we ever made for you. Maison Macha may be closing, but lessons, forever friendships and memories will remain forever. With endless gratitude and love Macha 🥐"

Everything I ate as a vegan in LA in May: 2-3. Started off strong with @crossroadskitchen for dinner on the first night 🍝 I had the spaghetti carbonara, my dad had the roasted vegetable lasagna, and we shared the sorbet and brownie sundae 🍨 That was my first time having vegan egg yolk and all the food was amazing obviously 😍 4-5. Went to the Hollywood market the next morning and got a delicious strawberry croissant from @_maisonmacha 🥐 6. @veggiegrill American chzburger was amazing!! 🍔 7. @baskinrobbins cookies and cream ice cream on the way back from Griffith Park🍦 8-9. @montysgoodburger was a must, also my first vegan soft serve! 😍🍔🍦 10. The big vegan burrito with mushroom guisado from @cenavegan , the BEST burrito i’ve ever had 🌯🤤 11. @heysunshinekitchen crispy “chicken” sandwich was really good 🔥 12. Almost didn’t get a chance to go to @erinmckennasbakery but i’m so glad I did 😍🧁 13. We need a @mrcharlies in NZ 🍔🍟🍦 14-15. Compassionfruit and Youth brûlée donuts were amazing 😍 @donutfriend 16-17. Of course I had to go to @kitchenmousela , the raspberry frangipane tart and s’mores bar were delicious 🤤 18-19. @ideclairlosangeles , the first bakery bought eclairs i’ve had since being vegan! These were soooo good 😍 20. @ikessandwiches vegan Mel-lo-kitty was really good too 😍🥪

Saturdays 9 AM - 2 PM 📍SW Corner La Cienega Blvd. at 18th St. (1801 S. La Cienega Blvd.) thank you for joining us at the joyous grand opening of the new Saturday Farmers Market at 18th St! We are grateful to LA City Council Member Heather Hutt @cw_heather.hutt , (a neighborhood local!) who presented a special award of recognition to representatives of the plaza for hosting the farmers market. We were also blessed to have live music from Resurrection Road and a petting zoo with goats from @goatscaping.la. We look forward to bringing you local produce straight from the farm and specialty foods every Saturday morning from 9 AM - 2 PM.
