Spring Vibes at the Peay was beautiful 💐💐! I enjoyed fellowshiping with @thetabeta_nupes at their Bible Study event. It’s an enriching experience to see students passionate about their faith walk. Today marks 20 years of being in this noble Klan. I remember trasferring to APSU from UTC Fall 2004; @thetabeta_nupes had just returned in Spring 04. I had to wait my turn (many are called…). But when it was my time everything fell in place! Shout out to my LBs and those who paved the way for us; I express much gratitude and appreciation. My experience in Kappa has been great but this year has been extremely special. I was appointed advisor of my chapter and was able to witness my son (1-ΘΒ-25) cross my chapter this spring. I also had the privilege of welcoming 9 new members to the bond this Fall while celebrating the chapter’s 50th Anniversary! Thank you Theta Beta…you made us hard…you made us klever…👌🏽♦️👌🏽 Lastly…Rest easy Brother Chris Haynes…until we reach that Golden Shore and meet again 🙏🏽

Dad, Daddy, Pops…are some of my favorite titles to my favorite job! This journey of fatherhood is one of the most amazing and fulfilling in my life. Thank you @brittenee.george for carrying all our children and thank you God for choosing me for one of the most important roles in my life. Wishing all fathers a Happy Father’s Day!

This week has been a whirlwind! I don’t think I’ve had a chance to catch up from last week. Parenting ain’t for the faint of heart. There’s times I wondered “Are we doing this right?” But then there are those moments of confirmation that we are…one of those moments was this week! Congratulations @malachig319 and @_mal1kg ! You did it! I’m so proud of both of you! From micro premmies (weighing less than 2 pounds) in the NICU at Vanderbilt to graduates! Crying is not an emotion I express often but I remember balling my eyes out the night ya’ll were born. I was scared, anxious, all the above…I just didn’t want to mess it up (being a dad). I thank God for choosing me for the job; it’s being one of the greatest honors of my life! 🙏🏽

Malik is returning to Austin Peay in the Fall as a Junior (he graduated with his Associates from APSU earlier this month and became my brother crossing my chapter @thetabeta_nupes). He has aspirations to be a pediatrician.

Malachi will continue his collegiate journey at Alabama A&M. He will transfer 24 college credits and will be a Merit Scholar. He has aspirations to be an attorney.

Both received multiple scholarships that fully covers their tuition and fees and will allow them to attend their schools for free. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Thank you to all the family, friends, teachers, mentors, prayer warriors, etc. It truly took a whole community to reach this milestone. A very special thank you to my wife @brittenee.george. I could not imagine being on this journey of life and parenthood with anyone else. She is the glue to this whole thing and is hands down the most amazing mother ever. (Also planned and executed the twins graduation party…amazing job!) Malachi and Malik I’m excited for the next chapter in your lives…keep God first and we will be there every step of the way! Love ya’ll to the 🌙 and 🔙
