Sometimes the best recipe for learning in life is to lose. Losing a fight, losing that job, losing that relationship, losing those friends or losing an opportunity.

A couple of weeks ago, I suffered a knee injury, tearing my MCL and partially tearing my quad. I was looking forward to stepping back into the cage this December, but unfortunately, life had other plans.

On the bright side, this setback gives me an opportunity to focus on other aspects of my life and continue growing. One of those opportunities is starting EMT school in the near future, something I’m really excited about. While one chapter is temporarily on hold, I’m looking forward to challenging myself and growing in new ways.

Sometimes growth isn’t about pushing harder. Sometimes it’s about learning to slow down, being patient, and making the most of what’s in front of you.

Although setbacks suck, with the right perspective, they can turn out to be blessings in disguise.

I’ll be back in the cage when the time is right. But for now It’s time to heal & grow to come back better and stronger than ever.

The journey continues.

S/O to @_mallorylynne for the videography & putting this reel together!
