First (of probably many) @spokanehoopfest weekends in the books. I got to know my basketball girls so much better, and they’re the funniest girls you can find. Want to make new friends? Meet some randos, carpool 6 hours each way with them and bunk up for 3 nights. It’ll accelerate your friendships real fast. We laughed until we cried, we actually cried, and I came out of the weekend with some new best friends.

Our team got bumped up a bracket because everyone else casually has collegiate basketball experience… unbeknownst to me. 😅 I spent the weekend getting posted up by women twice my size and legitimately texted my mom asking if she could come pick me up. To make matters worse, we were guaranteed 3 games… but we accidentally kept winning and ended up playing 6. Turns out the amount of times I could get humbled had no limit.

Somehow I survived, only lost a little bit of my soul, and I’d do it all again tomorrow. 364 days until next time 🏀

The 2026 Track & Field Information Meeting is tomorrow, Wednesday, February 25th at 2:30pm in room 110. Just stop by, grab the information sheet, and ask any questions you might have. You won’t miss your bus and you will be ready to roll for the first day of practice on Monday, March 2nd.

Excited to see you all tomorrow in room 110!

Summer track #2025 comes to a close for Asa in Savannah GA USATF Nationals. He came home as a 2x All American placing 3rd in the Decathlon and 6th in Triple Jump. Here’s a short glimpse of his work. Thank you to the best squad of coaches we could have asked for, and for all of the support from everyone around us.

Happy 4th of July! 💕 2 Decathlons 2 weekends in a row with 3 days notice for the first. 2nd at regionals with so many PRs. Thank you to all of the coaches who see way more than we would ever look for. Two more days of competition and then he is on to Nationals!

These last four years have been so surreal! I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to compete this year after a second ACL tear and surgery but with God there is always a way. Looking back on this year, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I am so thankful for my team and all my coaches for being apart of this journey. I’m going to miss this group and running for Barlow, but I’m excited for what the future holds! Psalms 23 🤍
