The best weekend #33 🎂 ♍️

I am once again reporting back for my yearly review 🤓
First update is… I completed my first year of veterinary school ⚕️ Although it was hard, messed with my sleeping schedule, and tested my capabilities at times, I still managed to have lots of fun and learn a lot 🤪
I am so grateful for all the new memories I’ve made with my new friends, old friends, and family 🫶🏼
On top of that I of course had to see a minimum of 5 concerts even if my schedule was fully booked. Among the top are obviously Shakira, Billie Eilish, Tyler Childers, Sabrina Carpenter, and The Marias!
I got to travel to some new places and even shed some tears as some of my friends moved away from Champaign 🌽
I also started a new job which I hope to stay at for many years (plzzzz 🙏🏼) Although I’ve only spent a summer here, I’ve never felt more welcomed and learned so much so quickly. I look forward to coming back during breaks and spending more time with the best coworkers (imo).
But yeah that was pretty much my year 😇 See y’all in at least another 365 days…
P.S. There are many more people I missed in tagging (there’s a limit 😔)

🎉🎓 2021 Graduate Spotlight 🎓🎉

The Upsilon chapter here at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign would like to congratulate our hermana on earning her degree!

Marbella Garcia, H. Komorebi ☀️
OCHO of Fall 2019
Degree: Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences
Favorite Memory as an Undergraduate?
Picking one memory as a favorite is so hard!! But I would say one of my favorite memories as an undergrad is when I recently went to the Arboretum at night during the pink moon and it was so bright !! It felt like an adventure 🌙
What Advice Would You Give to Freshman You/Younger Students?
Advice that I would give a younger me or younger students is to not be afraid to use all of the resources around you! Go to those office hours, meet with the professor, it’s not as awkward or nerve wracking as it may seem at first, you got this!! 🔥🤝

Thank you for all the contributions you have made to our hermandad, we wish you the best for this new chapter in your life! Congratulations Grad!
