Studio Draft 10 - Found my husband 💍

Had the amazing opportunity to work and connect with a bunch of inspiring hooligans but fr damn hype from the get-go! Truly can’t thank yall enough for agreeing to try this and being so open minded to just go for it (even after I showed y’all the mass dance ><) EVERYONE pls watch them slay so beautifully 🥺🫶🏻

I remember laughing a lot haha and smiling so much when I see the dance just come alive! I believe in the magic of studio draft where we learn everything in one prac and film at the end. Everyone was so damn willing to go for it. Tbh mistakes will always happen here and there but we gotta always rem to have fun as we put in the work and support one another! <3

Thank you @noooiceacademy for the space! Shoutout to @hosayboooo for fixing up the track in such short notice even when you’re so bz!

I aspire to be better and I will try 🌱

—— “ashes”

last year i felt inspired to create something new and experimental and i wanted whatever that was, to be meaningful and to share a bit of my story. here’s a little piece of me, through my first dance short film. 🩻 it’s not perfect by any means (as it was never meant to be), i just wanted to share a piece of myself through my art form!

my ah gong passed away during syf season back in 2016. early in 2025 — during the final week of GEM 16, sitting backstage in audi 3, my nai nai passed on due to illness. i didn’t know how to process what was happening, didn’t tell many people about this, went to bump-in as usual, then back home each day thinking about how guilty i felt not being able to be with my family. i wanted to be there with her one last time, and spend time with my family.

but i chose dance. why? i think it’s because i wanted to honour 阿公 & 奶奶 through doing what i love. i don’t think i’ve fully grieved my grandparents, but i guess this is my way of saying i love you and i’m sorry to them one more time.

grief is a process, and it takes a lot of time to fully process our grief (if ever). i’m not sure what i want you to take away from this, but i’m grateful if you’ve made it this far and i hope that we learn to feel — and grieve — deeply for the ones we love. 🥹♥️

thank you beautiful dancers!!!
