Excited to share my latest project for the @nytimes

I spent an afternoon photographing and filming dancers from @theballetsalon, a semi-professional dance company co-founded by @meiying_thai and @awww_dri, created for dancers returning to ballet.

I got to spend some time with Jennifer Archibald [ @jarchdance ] and New York City Ballet @nycballet in rehearsal as they prepared a new work for the Fall Fashion Gala. Dance and ballet have always been really close to my heart, and getting to watch the piece take shape in the room in real time was pretty special.

Grateful to have documented Andrea Fraser & Carmen de Monteflores at the Whitney Museum for @nytimes. We spent a morning shooting the conservation process of a 1969 work by de Monteflores, and an afternoon with Andrea and Carmen as they saw their works for the first time installed, juxtaposed, in this year’s biennial.

Andrea Fraser and her mother Carmen de Monteflores, for @nytimes with @luuuuush who took the most gorgeous pictures and with @_maridelis at the helm, who did just a fabulous job guiding the story and doing both the picture and the video edits.

I highly recommend reading this tender piece. There are so many insightful and beautiful and bittersweet reflections on family, motherhood, artistic expression, ambition, and finding oneself no matter how old you are.
