What an amazing summer with @interlochenarts!! It has been so fun working with my cast and improving my craft of acting. Thank you so much to @keefdabeef for all of your knowledge and coaching you have given me in these three weeks! To my cast, you all are so talented and I cannot wait to see what all of you do in the future. To my cabin, you guys are the sweetest and most wonderful people, and I am so grateful to have meet you all. Love and miss everyone so much!! 💗💗

Matilda (and Steve) will be playing tomorrow night at Pat Connolly’s if you’d like to hear some live music 🙂

@_matildasimmons_ originally wrote this song about @strangerthingstv but it turns out to give me all the feels about loved ones we’ve lost. ❤️ #strangerthings @strangerthings.things @strangerthingsnetfliix @stonbroadway (best broadway show we’ve ever seen)

Here’s a little sample of Matilda’s 3rd song she just released. It’s about Stranger Things. After I listened for the first time I was sure it was about her late dog BowBow. When I asked, she said, “nope. Just stranger things.” As always thank you to her amazing guitar teacher, Steve Staicoff. ❤️ If you’d like to listen to the whole thing, it’s streaming on all platforms. I’ll post a few links in the comments.

Yesterday after work I had several items to pack up and take to be delivered and then had to clean our rentals, so my daughter offered to film herself making her favorite food: Parfait. I told her she needed to include the dogs, so this is what we got. 😂

Matilda has had an instrument in her hands and singing since we can remember. She just finished her second song with her teacher Steve Staicoff. Full version will be uploaded to Spotify soon!

In our studio, music is not a solo sport. It’s about shares connection; every voice is part of something bigger, woven together through trust, encouragement, and shared passion.

When a student steps into the spotlight, they don’t stand there alone. Behind them is the celebration of their peers, the belief of their teachers, and the unwavering support of their studio family.

We rise for each other. We cheer for each other. And together, we create something no one could ever make alone.

Because here, we’re not just shaping voices…we’re shaping a legacy of courage, unity, and joy. 🤍

YOU are the voice of the future. 🎤

Not because you’re the loudest or most polished, but because your voice carries truth, perspective, and purpose.

Everything you’ve experienced, every challenge, every lesson, shapes a story that only you can tell; and that story has the power to move people, shift culture, and inspire change.

We often think of the future as something distant, led by people we haven’t met, but the future is shaped right now - in the choices we make, the art we create, the conversations we start, and the values we live by.

You don’t need to wait for permission or perfection to use your voice. You just need to speak with intention. Create with conviction. Be a voice for what matters. ❤️
