POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

One of the biggest highlights in the debut of #TheLastofUsHBO was the portrayal of Sarah, as we got more context and insight into the character that wasn't even in the video game itself.

For the podcast episode where Jason, Max, and I discuss the series premiere, click on the links in my stories! #TLOU

Things looking up ⛅

How is January only halfway done? It feels like so much has happened in two weeks. One special thing that's brought me joy: getting back in the habit of writing for writing's sake. That, and reading what my friends write too. Newsletter link in bio!

Last March, I attended @shetalksasia's annual summit, themed "We Are Enough." At the time, I felt quite lost. I had just come back home from studying in Australia only to find myself struggling to find a job - any job, really - in science communication, despite having a Master's degree. With my self-worth at an all-time low, I was hoping to find some inspiration from the stellar lineup of speakers.
.
And boy, did I. During a panel about social media with @iamsuperbianca and @missizacalzado , I asked them for advice on how to communicate unpopular topics like science (at least in the PH) on social media. I explained that I wanted to start a social media page solely dedicated to science, but I didn't think anyone would care. Their advice? "Go for it."
.
Those were the words I precisely needed to hear at the time. A few weeks later, I created this account to publicly share my passion for science and how freaking amazing it is. Months later, I started the @pinoyscientists Instagram account - which now has over 1,000 followers on IG and 10,000 followers on FB. I 👏 WENT 👏 FOR 👏 IT 👏 MAN👏
.
By putting myself out there, I've been blessed with unbelievable opportunities I would've never anticipated - including being chosen to partake in another She Talks Asia event, this time as a panelist (DAT GLOWUP DOE) for their Toolkit for Every Multi-hyphenate tribe meetup.
.
It was another chance to 1) connect and listen to the stories of other incredible multi-faceted women like @gretchenho, @sarahelago and @danie.laurel, 2) pay it forward and share my own advice to anyone in the audience who secretly needed it and 3) thank the She Talks Asia team, including @lynnpinugu, Bianca and Iza for being a catalyst for positive change in my life.
.
Truly, when women empower other women, great things can happen ♥️ Thank you once again She Talks Asia and @celetequedermo for the wonderful opportunity 🙏

Hit the ground running 🏃‍♂️ // There's no victory too small, such as being jetlagged out of your mind but still getting it together enough to paint live at an event at 3 pm when your body is telling you its 3 am. Pictures from @bratpackstore's Recognition day! Celebrating victories of all kinds 🎒 my piece is hanging out at the Greenbelt 5 Bratpack Branch! 📷 first pic by @_maxcruzz 🙇‍♂️ and 2nd by @mielcrz 🐝

@puma_podcast team party! 🍾 Thank you for the wonderful response to our new show @history.rebooted! My idea of flirting in grade school was telling my crush random facts about ancient Egyptian burial practices (????) so I'm glad I now have a better outlet to talk about history hahaha 😂 Up next: launching my sports podcast @_gohardgirls this week! 💜
