Hi everybody! Our new record is out today! ‘ Topanga Canyon’ @laurenrecords
I’m really excited for you to listen to it! It was so fun to make!

It feels like a big collage of friends, sounds, images, things happening in the world right now, but also things from the past you wanna hold onto. Like a photograph of a moment in time, hard to grab hold of!

For me, having the confidence to be vulnerable, to even try to be sincere and make art that exposes a part of yourself, takes the support and love of friends. I feel really lucky to have that, and really honored to have worked with so many talented people on this record 🧡🧡🧡

hugest thank you to everyone who helped make it happen!:

Today I am releasing a record called Good Bokeh. It was made in collaboration with Germaine Dunes and Carly Bond.
We had two rules; that we finish in 3 days, and that we commit to everything immediately. Which meant we printed all the piano mics and effects and every movement of a fader live to one stereo track, leaving no room to adjust anything after it was recorded.

Over the past few years I’ve been going deeper into photography; learning new techniques and processes by using my father’s old 4x5 and my grandfathers Pentax. The practice of capturing images has started to influence the way I hear music now. Good Bokeh is a term referring to the artistic and technical quality of the out of focus areas of an image. How much beauty is in those blurry rays of light? This record is an invitation, and appreciation, for the haze and beauty in the unfocused.

Second single of the solo piano album out today, Peace in Love.

Feels good to be releasing this song at the beginning of a tour where I’m getting to play so many songs written by friends I live and admire.

Another huge shout out to Carly and Germaine / Sound and Hearing for helping me record this.
