✨Meet the Northern Lights✨

Canada has been a world leader in advancing women’s wheelchair rugby — from earning bronze at the 2023 Women’s Cup in Paris to building a growing pathway for women to compete, lead, and make their mark in the sport.

The momentum is only growing.

Now, Canada’s Women’s Wheelchair Rugby Development Program is building toward the next historic moment: the inaugural Women’s Wheelchair Rugby World Championships in Paris in December 2026.

We are the Northern Lights, a group of athletes, coaches, and supporters building the road to Paris and helping shape what comes next for women’s wheelchair rugby in Canada.

We’re here to compete.
We’re here to grow.
We’re here to make history — on and off the court.

Follow along as we train, travel, compete, fundraise, and build toward the first-ever Women’s World Championships.

The road to Paris starts here.
