POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

As Women’s History Month comes to a close I want to highlight and thank all of the women in my life who have had a hand in watching me grow and blossom. 🌺

The “Petals” Book Launch was a huge success! I sold out of all of my copies in record time! However, the biggest blessing was looking around the room, and seeing so many loved ones, from different parts of my life, come out and support this book!

Petals are a byproduct of a flower’s growth through its journey as it blossoms. Our growth journey has only just begun….. 🌸

“Petals” is not just a book. “Petals” is a compilation of life stories, learned lessons, and scriptures to help other young girls on their own journey through life.

No matter where you are in your own journey, I pray that this work of love will bless you on your path, as it has blessed me on mine. 🌸

Yesterday was so fulfilling! Support your friends! I had the honor and pleasure of attending the premiere of the Black Fire (@black_fire_records ) documentary at the Miracle Theater in DC! It was so entertaining and educational! I can’t until its on @pbs ! I came to this event to celebrate the accomplishment of my friend and mentor @kiafmtv Co-Directing and Producing this film! The panel was wonderful and I’m so inspired! I hope to be speaking on my own panels one day as a filmmaker! Congratulations @aquatic.gardener and @plunkyone on this amazing film! Also shoutout to some of my fellow filmmakers I was so proud to see in the credits! @justwatchthevid @soulcinematic @_michiiieee @filmmaticstudios_ !! Let’s Goooo!

Released in 1975 ~ Plunky and Oneness of JuJu’s seminal album
#AfricanRhythms marks the beginning of the Black Fire Records legacy.

Blending inspirations from West African Highlife, Spiritual Jazz, Cosmic Funk & beyond -
African Rhythms went on to inspire a generation of hip hop producers through its reimagining by the like of J Dilla & Madlib.

Here’s a clip of founder James ‘Plunky’ Branch from our upcoming project, the official #BlackFireDocumentary

We’re reaching closer to our goal of $20K by December 4th,
but still have a long way to go.
It’s not too late to support this film about a true DC music story.

The good folks at @petworthdcnews just gave us a nice write up! Check that out on their website.

Please do consider supporting this project - link in bio
