September is PCOS/PMOS awareness month and I’m showing support by treating myself 🩵🦋 my super talented sister @babii_nailz @thikbabii brought my vision to life and absolutely SLAYED my nails!!

PCOS is a genetic disorder that disrupts the menstrual cycle and fertility of about 1 in 10 women/folks with ovaries. The cause is unknown, there is no cure and the care and management of the symptoms can vary from medication, to weight loss to hopes and prayers. The symptoms can be debilitating and heartbreaking causing a range of conditions such as miscarriage, cancer and heart disease. It is a chronic illness that is also associated with autoimmune issues and many of us don’t know we have it until trying to conceive with no luck. I got my diagnosis years ago and still have to be rediagnosed every few years because Drs have very little awareness or understanding of this condition even though it affects so many!

I just wanted to do a little something to remind myself that I am strong. I have grown so much and learned so much in loving my body through the ups and downs of this condition. When I was first diagnosed it broke me but I decided to step on the path of healing and loving myself which brought me to where I am today. I came up with the concept, including symbols relevant to my experience. Teal is the ribbon color for PCOS awareness, the pearls represent the pearl like cysts which develop on the ovaries, the Venus and goddess symbols bc it affects our reproductive system and gives the extra goddess belly, an angel wing for my angel babies 👼🏼👼🏼, the zebra stripes and butterfly for the unique ways this syndrome can manifest in our bodies. 🩵🦋🪽

If you know someone with PCOS, pls love on them extra. This is a very lonely condition bc we are expected to suffer through pain of irregular menstrual symptoms as if its “normal”, not talk about miscarriage, self regulate through anxiety and pull ourselves out of depression while often being questioned or dismissed by Drs. Give them a hug from me! 🩵🦋🪽

The Twin Peaks Night Market on Tuesday, February 24th from 6–10 PM at @78ststudios is more than a place to shop—though yes, you’ll find unique and vintage clothing, home decor, jewelry, and pieces you didn’t know you needed until you see them. This night was built to be experienced. (We think Nadine would agree!)

Come hungry and settle in with an elevated, Double R Diner–inspired dinner from @619restaurant, then pair it with a themed cocktail or mocktail from @happycamperbarcart. And don’t forget to grab some damn fine coffee from @royalcoffeecart and pair it with cherry pie to die for from @bitchyveganhomo for dessert.

Take in a mesmerizing belly dance performance by @aminahlouise_cle, then settle into the mood and movement of @jaderingmusic alongside a screening of Twin Peaks episodes curated by @extraordinairephotos. Step into our Red Room–inspired backdrop for a selfie, or have the talented @semaj_pendergrass_ capture you while documenting the atmosphere of the evening. Don’t forget to look up for an aerial performance by @marstheaerliast, and if you need a moment to reset, unwind with a massage from @sarah_jones_lmt.

Before you head out, take a moment to sit down for a reading with The Poetry Psychic Project, @lagitanafortunatatarot, or @moon_babes and see what the future has in store. Or make your mark—leave with something permanent by booking a tattoo with @whitelotusartgalleryandtattoo or taking home forever jewelry from @intothepinesjewelry.

The event is free and open to the public, but registration is filling quickly. Reserve your spot, follow the sound of the music, and step beyond the red curtains—you’ll leave with more than just the things you came for.

pieces of January in no actual order of events. Some found images and some experiences. This month always feels long but this year in particular it was extremely emotionally taxing. There is so much evil and pain but through that I treasure the soft sweet funny dumb little moments. I’m unsure how 2026 is going to go but I’ll never give up hope for a better and more compassionate future. Stay loving and stay radical. #photodiary #january
