POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

How happy I am to finally share this post🍦It has become a sweet tradition to upload a mix every August at the end of summer, and this recording definitely holds a special place in my heart. It's basically a showcase of all my recent inspirations in music which I tried to make sound solid together. I was seduced by raw and noisy breaks, phaaat bass lines, distorted vocals, sexy indie dance rhythms and trippy tribal melodies that take you to wild acid forests.

I discovered a lot of new names for myself this time. To mention a few, I was massively inspired by music of Greek artists: @menoume.evropi, @_morken, @rompheamusic released on @ferma.athens🖤 @koketa.mc, @dj_problems and @streetfighterhonda compilation🖤 Also, getting goosebumps today while writing this text and listening to releases on @negative_sciences. I guess Im gonna continue exploring Athens' underground🥵

Initially, my main references for the mix were these two super hot tracks: a remix of @younger.than.me by gorgeous @sophie.dupalais 'Counter Future' released on @warning._____ and the other one by @jubileedj and @burtfox 'Keys Wallet Phone' released on @troubleandbass long time ago while it still existed. I enjoyed so much how they sound together, so this is there the whole story started💦

Moreover, as a big lover of indie dance, ebm & dark disco, I wanted to create some sort of hypnotic spiral playing trippy and trance-inducing tracks by @damon_jee, @moderna, @theus_mago and remixes by @tevatea.music. I'm so obsessed with slow deep seductive energy they bring🌀

And, of course, I included a track (not in the slides) by my all-time favorites @younger.than.me and @cursesforever, as I always do, this time it's their collaborative project as Y2C🖤

Incredible closing track by @__urte🦋🗡️ released on @warning._____ as well🖤

Reminded myself again how much I love compiling mixes, one of few things in life I can patiently spend hours on. Even if you have an idea in mind you still never know what to expect in the end.

And the last but not the least: thank you my boyzz @hotspotting__ for the opportunity to play at your stage, Im so grateful💗

ΔΙΑΔΙΚΤΥΑΚΗ ΑΠΑΤΗ - monthly show looting electronic music bits and pieces taken from Athenian streets.

Podcasts and selections from FERMA operators along with label-affiliated local and international heroes.

In this episode, Athens-based Morken invites Oliver.

Oliver has cut his teeth as an artist in London’s clubs and warehouses, born from within the capital's neglected walls and spaces. His sonic interests lay in a non-purist approach, a resistance against convention.

With previous releases on labels such as Oraculo Records & Mosaique Records, 2023 marks the birth of his own imprint, launching with a six-track compilation by various artists, setting the tone for the label.

Cheers!
