😢 🙏🏾 As we get older, one truth becomes clearer every year: life is short, time is precious, and tomorrow is never promised.

I met you through music, and when God called me to pivot into film, it felt fitting that you would help usher me into that next chapter.

Your intelligence was undeniable. Your creativity was unmatched. But what impressed me most was your technical knowledge, precision and attention to detail. You dotted every “I” and crossed every “T,” and I learned so much from you.

You inspired me more than you probably realized. Many of the lessons I learned during those early years helped keep me standing in this film business today.

Our relationship went way back. We came from humble beginnings, building, creating and figuring things out together. And yes, we had our differences. But I’m grateful we were able to sit down, talk, listen, reconcile and move forward like grown men.

Everything we built and experienced together was greater than any misunderstanding.

I thank God we had the opportunity to make things right while we were both here. There were no unresolved words, only respect, understanding and peace.

Because beyond the music, films, creativity and business…

we were friends.

Sometimes it was simply a phone call to check in. No business. No agenda. Just, “How you doing, my brother?”

It was genuine, organic and, I believe, divinely driven.

That is what I’ll carry with me.

C Money, I’m going to miss you immensely.

Thank you for the knowledge, inspiration, creativity, friendship and, most of all, the brotherhood.

I’m grateful our story didn’t end with our differences. It ended with respect, reconciliation, love and peace.

My deepest condolences go out to your family and everyone who loved you. I’m praying that God surrounds you all with strength, comfort and peace during this difficult time.

Last night we said goodbye to the last of our four fur babies and this one broke me in a way I was not prepared for.

The hardest part was not loving you. It was loving you enough to let you go.

The selfish side of me wanted to hold on and keep you here a little longer. But real love chooses dignity over desire. Your quality of life mattered more than our need to keep you close. Because you loved us faithfully and we loved you just as deeply, we knew the most compassionate thing we could do was set you free.

You were the last of a legacy. Your mother Aspen brought seven beautiful puppies into this world. Seven blessings who filled our home with loyalty, joy, and unconditional love. With you, that chapter gently closed.

BLACKIE, I did not grow up a dog person. But you taught me something greater than preference. You taught me devotion. You showed me the purity of God’s creation through your eyes, your presence, and your unwavering love.

This morning the house feels different. Quieter. Heavier. There is an emptiness where your energy used to be. I feel your absence in the stillness.

I wish we could keep those we love forever. But just as we arrive in this world, we must one day transition from it. What remains is the love, and that never leaves.

You will always hold a sacred place in our hearts and in the story of our family.
