I had food poisoning so these are quite literally the only pics in my phone from Oaxaca but somehow I still had the best time. Last slide says it all.

This was my 2025 🤍 And since we’re still in the first week of 2026, I’m posting it instead of letting it linger in the drafts, as usual 💫

The year began with the devastating fires in LA. We evacuated, and while we weren’t directly impacted, coming home felt heavy. Waiting for me was a book I made — an archive of my mom’s life — delivered amidst ash drifting from fires, miles away. The timing felt symbolic: preservation. Artifacts. Archives. A message I’m still unpacking.

The first quarter was spent painting constantly. One piece even led to my first published work with @findpeacekeeppeace for the LA Art Book Fair. Though I was still largely on a work hiatus, I said yes to a few projects that truly excited me: helping produce a @sebara.studio play inside a heritage home in Silverlake, and photographing @maggisimpkins for a @billboard x @bose Women in Music collaboration in March.

Summer was for travel — a full month in Morocco, first with my girls @cocktailswithtricia @nelly_yuki @drea_tara, then with momma in Tangier 💌

And Q4 has been about reflection and looking ahead. I’ll be releasing my first YouTube video tomorrow — the beginning of many, if I keep my promise to myself: to create more than I consume, to self-express, to continue observing life, and to hoard less and share more.

I hope you stick around for this next chapter 💫 Here’s to a new year 🥂

🫶🏽🫶🏽The New Day calendar is baaaaack!! We are so very excited to bring you the newest edition of our favourite ever project, in support of the Red Door Family Shelter!

@new_day_project is full of joyous photography in collaboration with these inspiring floral artists @j_aime @mitsu.ikebaby @floret.dundaswest @blushandbloom @futurejenn @ballooms and creative collaborators @harisfazlani @ruthclaire @_mounatraore @norblacknorwhite @cristacober @sheahurley @simoneotis @alizaesmail @anna.stephenson

The calendar is $40 and goes on sale today on newdayproject.ca and in stores Wednesday! Link in bio!

More cool merch on site, and ALL proceeds from the sales of New Day items will go to the shelter.

Big mood going into 2025: All we have is each other! The past year has been unthinkable in many respects and it has reminded us that community matters the most. The Red Door shelter is a vital local organization, providing urgent and supportive services to women escaping domestic violence, families facing imminent housing insecurity, and refugees with nowhere else to turn. We are thankful to be able to support them.

And forever thankful to every single person who buys a New Day product and helps spread the word on this fundraiser!! 🙏🏾💞

With ❤️ from us and the team @allyoucanchi @septemberbred @lisalisaleo
