Day 8 of 25: STRANGERS KEPT ME ALIVE. When I look at these pics, I don't just see friends.. I see miracles! Every person was once a stranger.

When I was lying on the side of the road, strangers kept me alive. Firefighters, paramedics, doctors, nurses, therapists & eventually caregivers all stepped into my life before they even knew my name.

Let me ask you something... Would you let your bestie bathe you? Catheterize you? Help ya to the bathroom & wipe your booty? Probably not! 🙈 Now imagine meeting someone for the first time & within 5 mins. you're completely vulnerable having to open your legs so they can catherize you. Then they're bathing you, dressing you, lifting you & caring for your most intimate needs. Yaaa have to learn to rewire everything, especially if you're shy. 🫤

One of the biggest lessons after becoming a quad isn't learning to ask for help... it was learning to trust strangers.Ya don't always feel comfortable! You can look right through someone.. deep into their eyes & see how they look at you, how comfortable you feel & if it's going to be the perfect fit for them to be your caregiver.

These pics celebrate my Anniversary of Life but it also celebrates the people who walked into my life unexpectedly & never really left. Some actually helped w/ my care.Today they're not strangers. They're my chosen family. (Ig only allow 20 pics. If you're not here, don't worry...YA KNOOOO who you are if ya made my life EXTRA Magical!)

Hebrews 13:2
"Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it."

I've always loved that verse. Maybe some of those strangers really were angels.✨I'm grateful to have Earth Angels in my life. Day 9 of 25: LOOKING IN THE MIRROR FOR THE FIRST TIME. 😝 Oh boyyy...lol. "See" ya tomorrow for that one! 🤓🤣

Love & passion always,
