We all have a lot on our plates, balancing full-time jobs, running businesses, raising families, and managing everything else life brings our way. There is no shortage of busy schedules among us, which is why it means so much whenever we are able to come together in honor and service to our alma mater.

A special shout-out goes to the Class of 2004! During the 2026 scholarship cycle, whether you showed up financially, physically, or both, your support, presence, and commitment were truly appreciated.

Thank you for continuing to show up, give back, and invest in the next generation of Blue Bloods. 💙

The Shades of Blue Legacy Scholarship Program proves that real impact doesn’t rely on a single donor, it stems from an alumni community that refuses to be passive onlookers, choosing instead to actively make a difference.

Despite a challenging fundraising year, marked by Hurricane Melissa affecting cohort members on the island and diaspora members supporting family back home, members from the Class of 2004 answered the call.

Because of their dedication, we officially raised and presented J$1,376,000 in scholarships and grants to 23 brilliant Manning’s School scholars for 2026! ✨💙

This generosity goes beyond financial support. It shows our scholars that those who walked this academic path before them believe in their potential and are invested in their future.

To every Class of 2004 member who sponsored a scholarship, whether in full or in part: THANK YOU. May God continue to replenish your storage basket. 🙏🏾

To all Manning’s alumni regardless of your year group, there is room for you to be apart of this legacy. If you would like to become a sponsor for 2027, send us a DM to learn more!

Every year, the sheer volume of talent, dedication, and ambition in the applications we receive leaves our committee inspired, and this year was no exception.

We read, we reviewed, we debated, and we were deeply moved by every single applicant.

After careful consideration, 22 outstanding students were selected to receive scholarships, and one remarkable student was selected as this year’s grant recipient.

It was a true honor to celebrate our 2026 Shades of Blue Scholars and recognize their hard work, perseverance, and achievements.

Supporting the educational journeys of Manning’s students is a privilege, and we’re grateful to play a small part in their futures.

Congratulations once again to the 2026 Shades of Blue Scholars! 💙

On June 27, the Shades of Blue Legacy Scholarship Program, led by the Manning’s School Class of 2004, hosted its annual Scholarship Award Ceremony, celebrating 30 exceptional students from 1st to 6th form.

Now in its second year, the program awarded over J$1.7 million in scholarships and grants, made possible by the unwavering support of our alumni community. 💙

This year’s event featured keynote speaker Winthrope Wellington @throp , entrepreneur, content creator, and founder of Throp Media, who shared powerful insights on personal branding in the digital age.

Scholars also received professional headshots by @tusonphotography , supporting their academic and professional growth.

A heartfelt thank you to our Class of 2004 alumni sponsors, and to other Manning’s alumni who stepped up to support, including Joy Burgess (’83), Dr. Garold Hamilton (’86), Staceia Johnson (’05) and beloved past teacher Mr. Owen Barnes. @garoldhamilton @thestasexperience

Special shoutout to @streamlinemedia876 , our first official alumni business sponsor, and @scholarshipjamaica for helping make Cycle 2 a true success.

The Shades of Blue Legacy is more than just a scholarship, it’s a movement. A commitment to uplifting the next generation of Manning’s scholars through continued alumni involvement, mentorship, and meaningful investment.

River Flex & Picnic!
Could there be a reunion weekend without a river flex? The Class of 2004 didn’t think so!

While social media visibility and “going viral” might be the rave for high schoolers today, we knew that staying incognito and off the radar was the best way to have fun back in our day. No one knew where we were or what we were doing 😉. A river flex was a must, and our 20th reunion wouldn’t be complete without it.

After touring the Manning’s School campus, we hopped on a few buses and headed to Benta Falls. The competition was fierce, and the banter was non-stop as Team Love in Action faced off against D Block in the Blue Blood Olympics.

Benta Falls provided the perfect setting for us to cool off, catch up, engage in friendly competition, and reignite our carefree teenage spirit.

Thank you, @bentariverfalls for hosting us and for being an integral part of our reunion weekend

On July 13, 2024, the Manning’s Class of 2004 reunited for our 20th reunion and enjoyed a long-awaited and nostalgic tour of the Manning’s School campus.

Seeing so many alumni back on the campus after 20 years was heartwarming. It brought back a flood of memories and solidified our deep connection to our alma mater.

The campus tour kicked off with a well-needed “Break Time,” featuring hot patties and cold box juice. In addition, the Reunion Planning Committee organized a cleanup effort to address hurricane damages by hiring workmen to clear up debris around Mumby Block.

The tour, led by Deputy Headgirl Tishauna Jamieson and accompanied by Manning’s educators Jessica Davidson and Ikula Pearce, provided the perfect opportunity for alums to reconnect, reflect, and reunite to give back to our beloved school.
