Do you actually KNOW what you need to improve?

We have changed the way we approach development. Our programming is not a generic everyone gets the same workouts, same pitching routine, same hitting drills, and generic testing to get generic results.

Through advanced @vald_performance testing, we can evaluate physical performance, identify strengths, and uncover opportunities to improve. @earthstrong_performance will build your specific program

Working harder is only part of the equation. Adding the WHAT to work on is the game changer.

Train with purpose
Measure your performance
Build a plan based on player specific DATA

We have helped over 15 atheltes this summer gain strength, increase velo numbers hitting and pitching, jump meteics, capacity increases, and confidence. Pitchers jumping 6 to 7 mph over 9 months. Hitters gaining 10 plus mph over 3 months.

Atheltes and parents: Have you ever had performance testing? Drop a YES or NO in the comments!

👀⚾ Have we gotten away from the eye test?
There’s more data available in baseball than ever before.

But what happens when the numbers tell you one thing…and watching the player tells you something else?

Mitch Thomas and Dave Wiggins take on the role of metrics, measurable tools, and actually WATCHING a player play the game on this episode of The Hitting Zone.

Part two to the thoughts below. Shout out to my man @brickwall_catching I need a new top though. This one from 2020.

There is a thing that I have about this coaching fraternity to stick up for coaches as this job can be difficult.

I also feel that at times we need to ask some why or what are we doing.

Load management? What is it? Do we need it? Why do we need it? We didnt have it when I played. We did ok. We didnt have arm injuries. We had guys at 90 across the plate not out of the hand. We had guys playing multiple positions. We only had 12 to 13 kids on a roster in little league play.

What is so different today? Lack of throwing? Not enough practice? Not enough movement? Why is load management important today.

Data has given us a lot of information on injuries and when we start seeing issues at the older ages we are seeing scared up self repairs (scar tissue) we habe data that suggest teenage injury and early adulthood injuries feom younger ages 11 thru 13 seem pretty common overuse

We as coaches must protect our youth that includes HS. Have structure in place. Have a routine in place flr what does it mean to get hot vs get moving.

Lets start a series of videos on overuse of the athletes. Comment your thoughts

AMPD is where serious high school softball athletes are built. This is not babysitting. This is performance training designed for players who want to compete harder, move faster, and play stronger when it matters most.

Why Join AMPD Softball is not just a skill game. It is a power, speed, and decision-making sport. AMPD develops the entire athlete—strength, explosiveness, mobility, durability, confidence, and competitive edge. We train athletes to handle game speed, physical demand, and pressure situations, not just look good in a lesson.

Why 1-on-1 Lessons Alone Aren’t Enough Private lessons have value—but they are only a piece of the puzzle. One-on-one training cannot fully recreate game intensity, fatigue, or competition. Athletes grow faster when they train in a high-energy environment that pushes pace, accountability, and mental toughness. Development does not happen in isolation. It happens when athletes are challenged.

Total Performance Programming = Real Results AMPD uses structured, progressive programming that connects strength training, movement efficiency, rotational power, speed development, and softball-specific demands. Every session has purpose. Every drill transfers to the field. This approach builds stronger bodies, sharper minds, and more resilient athletes—leading to higher performance, fewer breakdowns, and long-term development.

This is how athletes separate. This is how confidence is built. This is how players level up.

Stop training like it’s a hobby. Start training like you want to win.

If you’re a high school athlete ready to get faster, stronger, and more game-ready—or a parent who wants real development, not shortcuts—AMPD is the next step. Commit to total performance. Train with intent. Earn your edge.

K.I.S.S.

Teach the basics and hammer the basics home! Nothing fancy, no big words, work at their pace, ask questions A LOT to make sure they understand what you are presenting them with.

Keep the expectations reasonable, have fun with them!

Three hours of pure work. One unforgettable lock-in.
This holiday hitting camp was everything I love about coaching—players locked in, competing, laughing, learning, and building confidence together. From nonstop swings to late-night games, food, drinks, and memories that matter, this wasn’t just a camp… it was an experience.

Thank you to every athlete who showed up ready to grind, every parent who trusted the process, and every coach who poured into these kids. Watching players grow, connect, and fall deeper in love with the game is why we do this. Grateful, humbled, and fired up for what’s next.

This is more than training. This is community. ⚾️❤️
