What an experience it was working with @tomjackwilder at the @_nexus.13 cinematic photography and lighting workshop held earlier this month at @basfordphotographylocation

Myself and other photographers were tasked to create a story using 3-5 cinematic images under the guidance of @iphotouk @switch.gonedark @shalimarsstuff with only the line.. *The Mob Boss* as a beginning point... the rest was upto us using the grounds and house of @basfordphotographylocation & the stunning Mclaren @f7_btx brought along for us to use!!

On sunday I was luckily enough to attend the incredible @_nexus.13 cinematic and lighting photography workshop hosted by @iphotouk @switch.gonedark & @shalimarsstuff at the absolutely fantastic @basfordphotographylocation thank you @leannemichelle_photography @simon.hoffman.92 for allowing us to use your beautiful studio and house for this workshop!!

Our day was filled to brim with knowledge and mentoring to help us understand what it is to create a cinematic image and i couldn't thank everyone involved enough for this opportunity!

Our practical session was to create a cinematic story within 3-5 images over 2 sets of stories using the fantastic @tomjackwilder & @xt7inkx in a double agent and assassin story then a solo set of a rebel boss. Both incorporated the use of the outstanding Mclaren 570s provided by @f7_btx which blew me away!!

Working in partnership with the other photographers attending and then the incredible lighting provided by @godoxlighting from Darren and Tom and some brilliant @pixapro lighting stands which i am definitely getting 😀

And we even got to walk away with a wonderful goody bag kindly gifted by @essentialphotovideo too which was greatly appreciated!!

What a fantastic day this was and I am so thankful for being given the opportunity to attend and learn so much that I plan to take forward to my next shoots 📸😀 time to take these back of camera shots to the big screen and get editing 🙌

Happy World Photography Day.

I've been a photographer now for many year (over 30 now and still going) and while my likes and passions have changed somewhat over the years, the one thing that has always remained is my desire to keep creating images. Photography is more than just pressing a button. It's an art form. Each photo is a snap shot in time, a memory of that moment captured forever.

The thought, skill and passion that goes into making images is something often overlooked in a world being taken over by AI. But as long as that desire to create remains within me, then I will continue to pick up my camera.

There are so many talented photographers out there. So many of them within the cosplay communities in which I work. There are far too many to name individually, but many of you truly inspire me each and every day. So let's keep creating, and let's celebrate this fantastic day with 'REAL' photographs.
