“False Acceleration” Drill Work

Separation tool used when cover defender is still square as we approach route depth. Due to depth; we do not have time to get him to completely turn & run.

Here, we will present a linear burst with a pressure step to simulate us running vertical & our next step will initiate our break. We want our shoulders to set that angle and a true propulsion forward off of the pressure step.

This is an awkward angle break, so it is imperative to marry the breakpoint, rather than letting our upper half leak to the reception area early.
