Happy Earth Day my friends. 🏞

I could share a million photos of our wonderful road trips and National Parks adventures but instead I’m focusing on one afternoon in 2015 at Yosemite at the top of Sentinel Dome. Duffy was there too. Oh and also Yosemite Falls.

But I’m also including a video I’m so happy I have, Gio’s first National Park Junior Ranger badge swearing in in 2014. 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹

He was so little and reading along with the ranger. His little voice. 😭 Now he’s taller than me and has I think 14 badges.

We’ve made so many wonderful memories on our planet and I definitely have @otisney to thank for showing us this beautiful country. 🥰

Huge congratulations to @legolandflorida on their 10th birthday. 🥳 I was there opening day and it was an honor to be invited back for the 10 year celebration.

I’ve mentioned many times how much I love LEGOLAND Florida and a huge part is because of how much Gio loved it from the start and really grew up with it. He was also lucky enough to be involved in a few of their social media campaigns, including a video ad for their LEGO Beach Retreat, Ninjago Weekends, and other promotional spots for the LEGOLAND Hotel and Brick-or-Treat. The simple joys of play are what LEGOLAND represents and the environment at the Florida location can’t be beat with the original Cypress Gardens still providing the backdrop. Gio may now be taller than me and about to turn 13, but LEGOLAND will always be a part of his story and mine. I can’t wait to see what the next 10 years bring!

I guess I have to get my mask photos posted since they are already out of date with the newest guidelines!

Last week I got to spend some time with some agents from @meimousefantravel and enjoy the parks at @universalorlando and @waltdisneyworld. I didn’t take too many selfies but I had to stop for @hellokitty! I wonder if non-distanced Character photos will be the next change at the parks? I personally love the distanced ones and I’m sure it’s safer for the characters too 😅

Holiday Partners 👋✨🎄

FINALLY got to the Magic Kingdom last night to experience the holiday splendor and new #CinderellaCastle projections. They did not disappoint! The funny thing was we saw the first one (photo 1 here) then went to get dinner at Cosmic Rays, then when we came back, it was the last one (red and green 2nd photo) and changed back to one. Then we rode #JingleCruise (see IGTV for a ride along!) and came back and it was the first one AGAIN and changed to the second 😂😅But then we just walked around and waited to see all of them. VIEWING TIPS:
The projections start at 6pm until 9 pm (or an hour after park close) and change on the dot every 15 minutes. The changeover is preceded by little jingle bells so you know it’s coming, and then they do a different mini-burst of fireworks for each new scene. It’s really lovely.

PRO-TIP: be sure to check out different angles, up close, in Liberty Square and Tomorrowland, and the back of the castle too!

5 years ago, I was getting ready to walk down the aisle with this guy. It was an absolutely magical day, full of love and happiness and hope and silliness and fun too. Swipe to see some of my favorite captures from @disneyroots 💜 (including Gio cause he was just so adorable that day).

So much has changed in 5 years, and I feel lucky to have such a wonderful support system in place to walk alongside me thru the ups and downs that life throws our way (including 2020). 😎

Looking back, I never thought I would be doing a podcast or a live show on video at ALL but here we are, I can’t imagine doing that with anyone else (even if we are just talking to ourselves each week haha). As long as we are marching thru this crazy life together, I know we will be okay. Here’s to 5 times 5 times 5 more years together, I love you Mr. Otis! Thanks to everyone who’s been cheering us on this whole time too. 💖💜💖 #root_weddings

So, I know today is a big day in the world of Disney parks, as many folks are riding Rise of the Resistance as I type this. Instead, I’m reflecting on one of the best days/nights of my life - my wedding day with @otisney. 💜
4 years ago today we gathered family and friends, some of whom we only knew because of social media and “DisTwitter” or my blogging at zannaland. I wish we had an unlimited budget and could’ve invited everyone we knew! I also wish I could rewind to that day and relive it again.

I can still remember the air of excitement and all of the planning and preparation coming together. There were some bumps along the way of course (how could the caterer run out of potatoes for the mashed potato bar?! and the DJ played played our first dance song for its full 3 minutes and 32 seconds rather than the minute and a half we asked for lol), but I wouldn’t change anything (well maybe the mashed potato situation and blinking in most of my photos haha). The night was just so perfectly us; relaxed and surrounded by love and silliness.

4 years later and SO much has changed, but we’ve gone with the flow, grown, and changed with the seasons. Our love for each other has grown too and though we made this leap and joined our lives together in our later years, everything happened the way it was supposed to, and our #HappilyEverOtis is unfolding before us, filling our lives with love, support, and laughter.

Thank you to everyone who took part in our day, has been a part of our story, and continues to be a part of our lives. It meant so much to share our day with you, and we appreciate each and every one of you. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy holidays and theme park activities (there was actually an event announcing the addition of the Three Caballeros to Gran Fiesta Tour that day!) to witness our new chapter. Thank you to @DisneyRoots for capturing so many of those memories. I love the candid photos as much as the posed ones!

🍄✨We had a wonderful morning doing the #ChallengeForHope 5K at @gktwvillage! It was Gio’s first 5K 🏃🏻‍♂️and our first time back at #GiveKidsTheWorld since 2013.

Happy 11th to Gio! This first photo is from last year’s birthday Halloween on the High Seas @disneycruiseline cruise we took (and I posted this same photo last year on his birthday but it’s festive haha). A little more of a low-key celebration this year, but we did attempt to create a little Hogwarts at home for his 11th. For those of you who’ve been here from the start, you can see #WiddleBabyGio is not so little anymore. 🧡💛✨🎂🎁🎉
