Still reminiscing. First came the show, then came the tour with some great people- the @jabbawockeez @supercr3w BreakSk8 and Fanny Pak. What a time💙

Still reminiscing…Americas Best Dance Crew Tour! Our opening number.

From 2 seasons & 20 crews, 5 were chosen for the tour and my crew was one of em. Ain’t God alright?🙏🏾

We had to pop, lock, vogue and some of everything else in this show😂

I’m dancing in that middle box on the left & every night I was scared I’d fall right outta that thang because it was SO hard to see🥴

Whew! This number was long and energetic & by this point we used to be WINDED!😂

I vowed to not cry on TV & I was trying to be the “strong Crew Leader” so I held it together but when we got backstage? INCONSOLABLE!😂😂😂

Throwback! That one time my crew was on Americas Best Dance Crew. Oh the memories. We were sent home literally the next week after this performance🫠😂 One day, my crew & I should give y’all a story time because oh the stories we have to tell. Lol!

Man… it hit different when you step on that stage and get to rock with some of Detroit’s coldest, most gifted dancers @damndella & @_officiallymel …

knowing I’ve been knowing some of these folks since we were kids at DSA then crossed paths again at WSU.

We done grew up together.
We done put in them long rehearsals, late nights, hard work, and sacrificed plenty to become who we are today.

And now, years later, we standing on that same stage still doing what we love, still representing Detroit, still carrying the culture.

That is bigger than a performance

That’s history. That’s family. That’s full circle.

Detroit will humble you, sharpen you, and make you tough as hell…

but if you stay true to your craft, it’ll also give you some of the most beautiful moments of your life.

DSA → WSU → THE STAGE.

We came from the same soil.
Now look at us. ❤️‍🔥🥁💃🏾🕺🏾

Whew… where do I even begin?
Producing this show is why I didn’t have a social life for months🫠 lol!
From booking hosts, judges, the venue, photographers, videographers, dancers, makeup artists and stylists, to scheduling rehearsals, conducting rehearsals, collaborating with our vocal coach and Music Director on each contestant’s performance, choreographing the opening number, contracts, payments and much more and somehow keeping my head on semi straight…so much goes into this one day. All for one night.

To our hosts, judges, contestants, band, dancers, all performers, production team, photographers, videographers, glam team, sponsors, supporters, friends and EVERYONE who helped bring this night to life: THANK YOU.

Gearing up for another one of these but never got to recap AMPLIFY 2025. Super proud of my 2025 AMPLIFY kiddos. So often, ppl only see the “finished product” but don’t know about the journey. Working with these 9 and getting to see them grow, challenge themselves, try new things and ultimately expand their artistry makes me happy. Tired but happy. lol! This was a great night. Hosted by the legendary @therealdougefresh with my special guest judge being my gal, the amazing @dawnrichard .

Posting my VERY OLD choreography reel from like 2009 in honor of this being my “20yr anniversary”. Although I’ve been into the Arts since I was a kid and dancing more than 20yrs ago, 2006 was pivotal for me. 2006 is when I started the dance group ASIID with some friends, went on my first tour as a dancer and started working with Artists so in hindsight, 2006 solidified some things for me that would shape a lot of my life afterwards. I got signed to Bloc South as a dancer while living in ATL. They weren’t really tryna hear me when I told them I was a choreographer. I booked like 2 gigs on my own as a choreographer and then they told me I needed to put a reel together asap so I threw this together as quick as I could. Lol! So many memories. So much creativity given for $Free.99. So much learned. So much gratitude. Cheer to 20yrs!
