as 2025 comes to a close, i’d like to take time to compile all its memories into one post. this year was truly wonderful. i am so blessed to have such an amazing group of friends and extracurriculars—they truly keep me going. this year taught me to be kinder to myself and others. let’s hope for a great 2026!

the 2025 marching band season is officially over. i can’t seem to wrap my head around it. this season was the best by far. i am so blessed to work with such a great group of individuals. this show, these memories, this group of seniors — will always have a place in my heart. marching band is a very important thing in my life, and so are the people in it. my seniors, you are some of my best friends. it breaks my heart to see you go, but i know there are beautiful things in store for you. forbidden, thank you. 🍎

that concludes the “you’re a mean one!” show!! thank you all in the comet command and golden guard for being such great people to work with this year. thank you to all the staff and parents for encouraging us in all we accomplished. and finally, thank you to slon, for always being there for me and the rest of the band. this year, we placed first in all but one competition—which we still placed second in!!—and were even able to tackle state and place FIFTH in the state of indiana! this year has been exponentially better in terms of hard work and i can’t wait to see what future lies ahead of us. my heart grew three times as big for all of you this season. same time next year?
