POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

There’s something special about getting everyone in the same room–the kind of energy you can’t replicate over email threads or Zoom calls. Recently, we had the pleasure of hosting the team from @fieldunit here in PDX, bringing together collaborators, partners, friends, and significant others for a night that felt equal parts industry mixer and fun laid-back vibes.

Held at @collector.bar, the evening quickly took on a playful tone: Lucky Day as the “home” team, Los Angeles-based Field Unit as the “away” team. But any sense of heated rivalry stayed firmly tongue-in-cheek because this was less about competition and more about connection. A shared appreciation for the work (and the chaos that comes with it) made for easy conversation, whether folks were meeting for the first time or picking up right where they left off.

We’re grateful to Alec, Jay, and David from the Field Unit crew for making the trip north and to everyone who came out to be part of it. Until the next one, home or away.

“One must maintain a little bit of summer, even in the middle of winter.”
-Henry David Thoreau

Summer’s gone, but the memories linger: Lucky Day/Mirror Mirror team dinner (with karaoke) at @hanoakpdx, an industry party at @somedaypdx, and alllll the good company in between. Our hearts are full. ❤️

Throwing it back Thursday style when @cancgla announced our #KeyToTheConsulate recipients in January. We were lucky enough to have our Ambassador to the 🇺🇸 Kirsten Hillman @connect2canada be part of the ceremony to hand out the keys. First up, a 🔑 went to @kirkpickersgill Designer & co-Founder of @gretaconstantine an accessible luxury line of ready-to-wear womenswear based in Toronto. Founded in 2006, the collection is available in over 40 doors worldwide spanning 15 countries, including Al-Othman, Al Tayer, the Etoile Group, Holt Renfrew, as well as both Moda Operandi and Farfetch online. The team works together in their Toronto-area studio – conceptualizing, exploring, and challenging the fashions of today for the women of tomorrow.

As a Keyholder, Kirk will work with Canada to use Canada’s House in LA in championing the supply chain of Canadian talent in the USA & shared values and to build bridges in the creative industries between Canada and Los Angeles👏🏾👏🏾🇨🇦🇺🇸🗝️🔑
