Introducing two new members of the UN team in Thailand: meet the duo Chaiwat “Dream” & Pakjira “Pink”, Communications and Outreach Interns at @undpthailand.
.
Chaiwat “Dream” – Hailing from Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai Campus (PSU) where he earned his B.A. (English), Chaiwat made his debut in the field of development joining student exchange programs in Bulgaria & Japan, working with the Goethe ReThink Urban Spaces youth-led initiative. He had interned with a creative content publisher in Hat Yai City the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Dept. of European Affairs) @mfa_thailand in Bangkok & had been UNDP Thailand’s youth delegate during the Children’s Day event following a competitive selection process. An avid explorer, Chaiwat is always on the lookout for vibrant, eco-friendly urban spaces that captivate & inspire. “UNDP’s internship focuses on creating opportunities to plan and implement SDGs advocacy projects in real-world settings. Refining and applying my bilingual communication skills is a daily part of my work, fast tracking my portfolio for my career.”
.
Pakjira “Pink” – It’s been just a month since Pakjira took on her internship with UNDP Thailand, adding to her previous UN experience with @unvasiapacific, UN Resident Coordinator Office in Indonesia, @UNOSSC (South-South Cooperation), and UNDP’s joint initiative with the Embassy of Sweden on youth & responsible consumption. A seasoned moderator, Pakjira had facilitated youth dialogues on food security for the Young ASEAN Leaders Policy Initiative (@yalpi_official) & on SDG localization with the Thailand Development and Research Institute (TDRI). She holds a Political Science degree from Chulalongkorn University & speaks five languages 🇹🇭🇺🇲🇲🇫🇩🇪🇨🇳 Pakjira tells us that her internship experience has refined her skills in leadership & digital diplomacy aligning her career aspirations: “UNDP’s collegial work environment has created room for constant self-improvement. It’s always about the people-first culture here that invigorates the opportunity to evolve everyday.”
.
Welcome to the UN team in Thailand once again Chaiwat & Pakjira!
