Oppidan - 6/27/26

An awesome night seeing @jitsumusic @patrickrichards_ @djoppidan

Highlights include (in no order and not fully inclusive):
-The guy in the white cap who is there for the first time and absolutely feeling his own vibe 🙌❤️🙌

-The very sweet girl who tried to help me spin a flow star 🫶

-The ave going until 3am 👀 (unfortunately couldn't hold our until the end but was a blast all the way through!

-@jitsumusic great selections and excellent transitions!

-@patrickrichards_ wtf?!?!?!!!!!! I did not know I was going on a trip or that I needed that trip in my existential existence. That set went so hard from start to finish! 🙌❤️🙌❤️🙌

-Meeting and getting adopted by the winsome and engaging Taylor @taymil! Hope to rave with you again soon! And thank you for putting up with me we're all trying to get some fun and candid shots!

-Meeting the magnetic and mysterious Zack @zack.gidda! Thank you so much for sharing your love of oppidan with me! It totally made the whole experience!

-Meeting PJ @w1cron who was living his best life!!

-Absolute displeasure of having to use the paid parking lot for the first time after circling for an hour prior to doors due to sold out show up the street, removal of parking along the fence line, all the new apartments opening up and already lack of spaces. @theavelive you aren't making my 100 dtd trip enticing if it's gonna cost as much as going to Brooklyn ... Just sayin ...

-All the people I met, danced with, and traded Kandi, trinkets and stickers with that I didn't get to connect with on here!

-Seeing the venue for the first time since we knocked down a wall and added a claw machine 🤣 Discoballs are solid though!

-Too much dancing not enough video!

… and so much more 😊

Today with heavy hearts we said goodbye to the patriarch of our family, our beloved grandfather, who we fondly called Motapapa (Elder father). He was a simple man with a big heart. His strength, while quiet, was powerful just like his unwavering faith for Thakorji (Lord Krishna) and the love for his family. Today that strength vibrates through all of us as we carry his legacy forward— a legacy of faith, selflessness, gratitude and unconditional love.❤️

My sweet Motapapa, I will miss your warmth and that signature expression of content on your handsome face when you’re surrounded by your loved ones. I will cherish knowing that your gentle smile is beaming down on us from wherever you are. I’m grateful to be a part of your legacy. We love you so much. 💗 May you rest in eternal peace. 🙏🏼
Jai Shree Krishna, Motapapa 🙏🏼❤️ 🙏🏼12/14/1935-2/09/2021🙏🏼

Thank you to the wonderful people at James Monroe Elementary School for allowing Peacock Society to come read for Read Across America Day. We had a wonderful time and can’t wait for what is in store for the future.
