Hey fam! I just released my set from @bigfamfest today! This whole collection is music I made or remixed myself and with collaborators. Since my set was just before the sunrise, I decided to use my more melodic, downtempo, beautiful music. It’s super vibey and chill, but I also sprinkled in some of that crunchy dirt in there, because why not? 🤷‍♂️ I’ve got a ton of unreleased music in here, including brand new tracks I’ve never played out before. I hope you listen and enjoy💗 You are beautiful 😍 You are loved 🥰 🔗 in ✍️ ⬆️ 📸: @r.aw_photography

As we continue remembering the beautiful moments we shared at the Second Annual Frequency Festival, we're honored to share another collection of memories through the eyes of two of our gifted photographers. Each photographer brought their own unique perspective, helping preserve the spirit and magic of this gathering in a deeply personal way. Today we're celebrating the work of Jason Redhawk and Stephen M. Thank you both for your care, creativity, and the way you witnessed this gathering with such presence. Through your lenses, you captured not only moments, but the essence of the connections, joy, and devotion that unfolded throughout the weekend. We are so grateful for your contribution to this living memory. With love and gratitude, The Frequency Festival Family

🏔️ Documenting acoustic phenomena at the Summer Solstice Frequency Festival, Mount Shasta Presented research on cymatics - the study of visible sound vibrations first systematized by Ernst Chladni (1756-1827) and later developed by Hans Jenny in the 1960s. Sound waves create reproducible geometric patterns in granular media, demonstrating the physical relationship between frequency, amplitude, and matter organization. Key findings from current research: • Drumming therapy shows measurable effects: 38% reduction in cortisol levels, increased immune function markers (Bittman et al., 2001) • Low-frequency percussion (40-80 Hz) entrains brainwave activity, promoting alpha/theta states associated with relaxation response • Acoustic resonance in enclosed spaces creates standing wave patterns that can be mathematically predicted and measured • Vibroacoustic therapy demonstrates clinical efficacy for pain reduction, muscle tension relief (peer-reviewed studies in Music and Medicine) The dumbek's fundamental frequency range (80-200 Hz) overlaps with human thoracic resonance, creating measurable physiological responses including synchronized heart rate variability and decreased sympathetic nervous system activation. Mount Shasta's elevation (14,179 ft) affects sound propagation - reduced air density alters acoustic transmission by approximately 0.6% per 1000 ft elevation gain. What a treat to be here!
