Word Kalcha || Meet the guest poet

RayKaz is a young, up-and-coming aspiring wordsmith with an insatiable love for artistry and a passion for fusing the age-old art of storytelling with modernistic lyricism.
RayKaz shares with us his life experiences, aspirations, and his societal views with the intention of reaching resonant listeners whilst speaking the truth of the world he has come to discover through his own eyes - all thoughtfully packaged in the poetry of puzzling yet carefully-conjured up wordplay. His debut project, Anxious Confidence EP, is a welcomed tell-all entry into the discography of a young man vying to tell his story to the world - the story of RayKaz.
Since his debut project release, RayKaz has spent the last few years perfecting his individual sound, and collaborating with close friends and contemporaries. 2022 saw him release 13 songs in total, a host of them being singles (inlcuding a 4-track Miz Pack EP, named after his beloved country). 2023 was more quiet and feature friendly; his bar-laden appearances on Denimwoods’ CHOZEN v2 and NO HOOK- featuring Jafaris and Suhn- and his melodic love life updates on zohlani’s FASHIONISTA, are examples of the lyricists’ vision for expansion and experimentation.
2024 showed nothing but promise for RayKaz, who blessed his devoted listeners with two full-length projects: the critically-acclaimed, multi-award nominated mixtape, “Main Oan Pack”, serving as Act One in the trilogy of Kazzy SZN; followed by Act Two, the Fuse-assisted collaborative album, The New Commission.
In 2025, RayKaz sought to once more quench his staunchest followers’ thirst by releasing what he called his “magnum opus”: the Album of The Year award-winning, 20-track tell-all solo album Those Around Me Tape...serving as Act Three to conclude Kazzy SZN in it’s finality…and then, taking an “indefinite hiatus”
True to his word, RayKaz has been largely inactive from 2026, bar the odd feature here and there, including a standout performance on the Priddy Ugly and Kane Keid assisted posse-cut, “Not A Stretch.”

No AI and No Photoshop straight out of camera, The major lesson that I learned from doing multiple exposure is that you need to be patient with an artist performance you need to understand how they perform in the story that they’re trying to tell with their words so collaborative effort between you and the person who’s performing, and that means accepting a collaborator that is not used in the idea is based off of how they are moving @_raykaz
