i can’t believe it’s over.

thank you to the cast and crew—because without you as my backbone, i wouldn’t have been able to pull this off on my own. i truly owe it all to you.

one of the most beautiful things i discovered while embodying my Cruz was realizing that we aren’t that different. i made the biggest mistake an actor can make: i judged her too quickly. when i was first considered for the role, i thought i was nothing like this angsty girl—and i couldn’t have been more wrong.

i owe her an apology for that.

because somewhere along the process, i found pieces of myself in her. in her frustration, her vulnerability, her need to be understood. she challenged me, pushed me, and honestly changed me.

i also feel so grateful to have worked with such powerful writing. thank you to playwright @scheer_madness , a new world alum, for creating a story that gave us so much to explore, and to her husband, @danconducts , whose music brought another layer of emotion and life to the play. it was such a gift to dive into a world that felt so raw, honest, and alive.

this show didn’t just teach me about acting—it taught me about empathy. about slowing down and really listening before deciding who someone is.

i’m so grateful for every late rehearsal, every note, every moment that built this into what it became. i’ll carry this experience—and Cruz—with me for a long time.

I’ve always trusted my gut 🍰

Gummy is a love letter to all the powerful, vulnerable, fun loving, forever young(at heart) women in the world. She was an absolute mystery to unfold and I had so much fun doing so within these past two months. But finding Gummy wouldn’t have been possible without my beautiful cast, crew, and director Jennifer De Castroverde.

To my cast and crew: thank you for supporting me and building this beautiful show with me. This past semester has been one of the toughest in my life as of late and I cannot truly express my gratitude to each one of you for being an emotional backbone for me. I couldn’t have done this work without you all. You all are forever a part of my journey and I love you all so much.
Thank you to @scheer_madness and @danconducts for writing and creating an impact story.

this show was such an incredible journey. i learned a lot about myself through this process and grew so much as a performer and individual. it was an honor getting to play liz & tell her story, as well as be the understudy for miss velma kelly & have my own understudy show. i have so much love for all of my cast mates and my directors and am so proud of the story we told. i love you all so much & am so glad i got to end my new world career in this production with all of you. we sure gave ‘em the old razzle dazzle ✨

Even though the pictures just doesn’t do the show justice. Finally a post for this GEM of a show. Being casted in this production was a HUGE eye opener for me in many ways. It brought me back to my core. Watching,learning and experiencing the cast and the creative team - I’ve gained so much from them. Couldn’t have asked to be apart of a better production.
