@_robbieluu painted up this awesome picture for us.

We had a pleasure working with him last year. He’s a killer BG artist and an all round top bloke. Thanks for the pic Robbie!

Plein air painting is often a solitary activity for me, but for once I got to paint with some mates last Sunday! After my first @pleinairdownunder last year, I've just been missing that sense of camaraderie of creating with fellow artists whilst braving the elements (and bugs) together! I was drawn to the reflections of the trees and the deep blue sky in the creek, so I decided to compose the scene with a high horizon line (look at me stepping outside my comfort zone!), with the curve of the creek and the pattern of the rocks designed to lead your eye into the painting and to the figures playing in the creek in the distance. Thanks @_robbieluu and @dean_a_jones for inviting me to tag along; it was an absolute blast and I can't wait to do it again!

ONE YEAR of weekly studies is here! There were ups and downs this past year.
@dean_a_jones and I started a challenge to paint in 90 minutes every week. We knew we love landscapes, people and stories but we wanted discipline.

And that's when we created a discord group to allow others to join us. Thank you @fireia_ @ronirasuto @natadoroart @dominic.draws @gts.tavares @shogun.sensei for keeping us accountable with our studies on our 1 year anniversary. And thank you to all who made it to our voice chats and painted along with us.

I have learnt so much from you, your stories and your humours.

You all help me get out of my way to surround myself with others instead of digging away at the drawing desk on my own.

Let's have another great year!
