A little @phillyabj Convention weekend recap Yesterday kicked things off at the Welcome Reception, and today I joined the “Establishing Your Own Media Brand” panel at the Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists Convention. We talked about building a brand, believing in yourself, knowing your why, knowing your value, protecting what you’ve built and creating opportunities instead of always waiting for someone else to choose you. A conversation that really reflects my own journey from building Vida Fashionista to creating Philly Influencer Mixer and Philly Influencer Mixer Conference (PIMCON), Philly’s Creator Conference. Is Philly being left out of the AI discussion? As Philadelphia is home to some of the nation’s top research universities, health systems, and a growing tech-literate workforce, the city is primed for advancement. But Philly is not Silicon Valley. Philly is overwhelmingly working class, more unionized, and is still recovering from decades of exclusion and divestment.
