🏆 AIGA 50 Books | 50 Covers Winner!
I’m incredibly honoured that Posters with Purpose has been selected as one of this year’s AIGA 50 Books | 50 Covers winners.

Established in 1923, it’s one of the world’s most respected awards for publication design. This year the book was selected from 536 entries across more than 29 countries and will now become part of the permanent AIGA Collection at Columbia University Library.

What makes this especially meaningful is that the book began as a research project exploring ethics, advocacy and the power of posters to create dialogue and social change.

I’ve written a blog about the award, the story behind the book and why this recognition matters.

From Rome to Naples 🎨🏛️✨

This summer, students participating in the Studio Art faculty-led program at the UARK Rome Center, led by Dr. Jennifer Greenhill, endowed Professor of Art History, and Ryan Slone, Associate Professor of Graphic Design, traveled to Naples for a hands-on exploration of Italy’s cultural heritage.

From the ancient streets of the Pompeii Archaeological Park to the collections of the National Archaeological Museum of Naples and the masterpieces of Capodimonte, students experienced firsthand how art, history, design, and memory come together to tell the story of a place.

A journey filled with discovery, inspiration, and new perspectives.

👉 Follow along for more learning experiences across Italy.

What should students take home from a summer in Rome besides photos? 🏛️

Last week, students from the University of Arkansas Summer Art Program joined us for a hands-on mosaic workshop in our studio.

For a few hours, they stepped away from lectures and museums and experienced a technique by actually practicing it. Piece by piece, they discovered how much skill, patience, and problem-solving goes into an art form that most people only ever see finished.

Thank you to the students and faculty for spending the day with us. We’re looking forward to welcoming the group back soon for their fresco workshop. 💛🎨

We love working with university programs because workshops like these give students a different way to engage with Rome: not only by studying its artistic heritage, but by taking part in it.

If you’re planning a summer program, study abroad course, or faculty-led trip in Rome, we’d be happy to create a workshop tailored to your students and your curriculum.

Send us a message to learn more about our workshops. ✨

A new symbol of excellence enters the world of poster design.

Introducing the USIPB Star Trophy, created to honor the highest achievements at the United States International Poster Biennial.

Inspired by the geometry of the USIPB visual identity, designed by Michael Braley, the star form reflects the energy, movement, and global collaboration that define the international poster community. Each trophy is produced as a limited object and awarded to the designers who receive the Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards at the biennial.

A special thanks to Brandon Olsen and Allison Thomley for designing these wonderful trophies and for making this all possible.

Congratulations to all of this year’s designers. You are the stars of this exhibition.
