Mt Keira - 23 laps - 280 km - 8,848 vertical meters - Wollongongs very own Mt Everest Turns out all it takes is one bloke in the bunch to say, “I’ve been thinking about Everesting Mt Keira,” and eight months later, here we are - 16 hours on a mountain together. What started as a few mates wanting to see how far they could push themselves turned into the toughest physical challenge I’ve ever taken on and the best day I’ve had on a bike. Thanks to my mates for the training rides, the motivation and the push to go further than I thought I could To everyone who came out to ride a few laps and cheer us on- The support on that mountain was something else ❤️ Big love to @crowy_mcstelf and Team @stelf_cycling , from myself and the @sunshines.cc boys, for helping turn this little ‘non-event’ into something we can be proud of being a part of - from race jerseys to comic relief and training rides… the list goes on. You ride what you preach #ridehardhavefun Special mention to @joshuajstuart for saving my day with a front wheel change after my tyre blew out Henry and Sophia - By the end of the day, just about every bike had a Spidey sticker on the handlebars, and Sophia had taken on the role of directeur sportif yelling “GO FASTER!” lap after lap… No one was going to let them down And most importantly, Marg - This wasn’t just one big day of support. It’s a life of supporting each other and pushing each other past our limits. Getting me out the door for early mornings, long training rides and everything in between. Thank you for backing me through all of it ❤️ To everyone who took on the mountain - Chapeau The incredible local artists @nathanhennessy_ and @_ryanmorgan_ thanks for the time you took to capture the day and support us all (sorry but I’m old and don’t know how to do mixed aspect ratios for photo and video uploads… forgive me for cropping your work) Mt Keira — completed it mate.

Next time @mrupre has an idea, I’m probably going to think a little harder before agreeing to it.    Yesterday, @sunshines.cc and @stelf_cycling teamed up for 8848m of bad decisions. We had rain, heat, wind and humidity… all the things you want on a 14 hour day in the saddle.    But the vibes were high all day, and couldn’t have been more stoked to see everyone up on the mountain supporting the crew ❤️    Anyway, legs are cooked, brain cells are missing, and I’m never doing that again (same time next year, see you there).    Massive thanks to @_ryanmorgan_ and @nathanhennessy_ for capturing the day

STR1KE & BOMB.R BIB SHORTS. EVERESTING TESTED. 19 hours in the saddle. Let that sink in. Some brands claim their chamois are great. We reckon ours are better. Six riders. One Everesting event.
