When my former @baylor_business @bayloruniversity student, @_sarah_allen, shared with me that she was working on the TONY Awards in 2024. I came to NYC to see her in action!

When Sarah shared with me that she was working on the May 2026 fashion show for Louis Vuitton to unveil its Cruise 2027 collection, I came to NYC again to see her in action!

It was wonderful getting a tour of The Frick Musuem and the show layout. It was AMAZING to see this beautiful museum’s Gilded Age first-floor galleries transformed into a fashion runway!!!!

I also loved seeing the production/behind the scenes of the show as well.

It contines to be such an honor seeing my students “shine their lights.”

SARAH, KEEP ON SHINING!!!!😘

2025: LAP THREE

the summer that gave 2016 a run for its money. i came into july with one goal: to live!!! in every sense. i spent my summer running a lot, working a lot, eating fantastic food, spending quality time with everyone i love, and getting really tan.

I met some incredible new friends and reconnected with old. took myself to the music festival I was supposed to attend my senior year of high school, but alone — and had the time of my freaking life. I lived out my seventh grade dream of seeing @mychemicalromance and lost my voice screaming every line.

I took a redeye to europe and spent 2 1/2 weeks in copenhagen, stockholm, helsinki, and finally in berlin — running a miserable and exhilirating @berlinmarathon that reminded me that that freaking distance is so hard and humbling and beautiful and rewarding.

those couple months taught me a lot about myself. what i value, what i don’t, that i love spending time alone (more than i already thought), and as corny as it sounds, that you can create your own magic 🪄

the summer I lay in the grass and ran many miles and got better at cooking and worked a lot of 12+ hour days and spent time alone and made friends at a tinned fish event and got two new tattoos and and took myself to a music festival and ate three lobster rolls and chopped off my hair (again) and made pasta with my friends and spent a lot of money at the farmer’s market and got back into songwriting and hugged everyone I love
