What is your view of Jesus? He is certainly the Savior who defeated sin and death, but is that all?

In Matthew 5, Jesus calls His followers the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Salt preserves and light illuminates. As Christians, we are called to reflect Christ by preserving what is good and shining His truth in a broken world.

The amazing thing is that Jesus does not tell believers to become salt and light. He says, “You are” the salt of the earth and “You are” the light of the world. The question is whether we are living out the identity He has already given us.

So, are you living as salt and light? Are you actively making disciples and making the goodness of God visible to those around you?
